This will probably end up being quite long. lol

For some context, by new Allroad is #73 in an extremely long line of all types of cars. Granted, I'm 58 - but it is still a bit ridiculous.

As for wagons - ever since I saw the early 90s Volvo V70R wagon, I have wanted a wagon/avant. I had a 2006 S60R and tried to the get a V70R in the same year...but they were impossible to find at the time.

My first Audi was a 1983 5000 (I had a week before it broke down - so they took it back) in 1984, followed quickly by an Audi GT Coupe in 1985. I wish I still had that GT. My personal last 2 last Audis were a 2016 S5 and S6. With the S6 I was really active on the forums and did a lot of mods. We also had a 2018 Q7 Prestige, and now have a 2021 Q7 Prestige. So I pretty much know the brand well.

I came to the A6 Allroad from a 2020 X5 MSport - with a ton of mods. I have 3 Dobermans, one of which is handicapped. The wagon is a great car for him to get in and out of without breaking my back...and we have the Q7 for a bigger car. I had a Defender 110X on order, and it arrived after 10 months only to get damaged at the port. At that time, the dealer also tried to add 20k to the MSRP even after we had an agreement, in addition to having to "repair" the part of the car's damage versus "replacing" it. Not acceptable. On top of that, the more research I did on the entire dealer network on the Pacific north west, and that we are in the 3rd model year of the X, I made the decision the JLR practices don't align with mine.

I had also been looking at the Allroad but there were none available at that time anywhere...and the Seattle dealers were still doing well over 3k markups in addition to having to wait. I was looking as far as Anchorage. I got super lucky that Boise Audi had an ordered car that the customer backed out day it arrived I took the car over the phone, hopped on a plane, and drove it home the next day...sight unseen. (except a photo). lol

That was in January of this year and I have been busy with it.

It is a Dew Silver with Executive, Black Optics, and a few other. I would have preferred Prestige...but we have to take what we can get sometimes.

Here is my list of mods so far. I'm on my 3rd and final set of wheels.

They were just installed this morning at Achtuning in Seattle/Redmond. DEF tell a difference. I went with the stiffer setting.

Is there any maintenance on them? I know in the past with polyur bushings they could push out the grease, and wear down...so just wondering.

I need to get it on a really twisty road. The installer drove it and preferred the drive over an RS6 (they work on a lot of them) as a near perfect balance between sporty and comfort.

We do recommend a re-grease every 5-10k miles. These Sway Bars are the same we offer for the RS6 (different brackets), so you can only imagine the transformation on those cars!
