    Hello everyone,

My wife has a 2012 Audi Q5 (93,500 miles) that has been having a starting issue with a check engine light. Basically, the car either starts roughly and smooths out, or dies one second after startup. Doesn't matter if its hot or cold. Smells like raw fuel often during startup.

    Here is what VCDS says:

    6128 - Fuel/Air Mixture Cylinder 4
    P219F 00 [096] - Unbalanced

We haven't replaced the spark plugs yet and I am unsure if they have ever been replaced, so I may do that tomorrow. That being said, I'm worried its a leaking fuel injector on cylinder #4. Does anyone have any ideas or pointers?

    Thanks for any help,
    Dan

I actually had the exact same code for the same cylinder, although mine is a 3.0T. Confirmed as a bad injector.

This was preceded by almost two years of periodic lumpy idle, but never accompanied by a CEL or code to indicate what was wrong until about 6 months ago. I didn't suffer a full on stall, but if your injector is stuck open and is dumping fuel you would probably end up with that result.

Mind you it can potentially be some other things, but the injector is usually the first suspect.
