    Audi a4 wheel fitment

    Hello
Recently I bought a 2008 Audi A4 Quattro S-line as a summer project. It has the 2.0T engine and six speed manual tranny. Everything is finally fixed, the last step is getting some wheels and tires. The oem wheels I have (the two that came on the car) are 5x112 bolt pattern, 17x7.5 inch wheels. Part number I found for them online is 58909 and they have stock 235/45R17 tires. Since the car only has two of them, I’m looking at buying a set of four new wheels and tires off Facebook marketplace. Here is the link to these wheels online: https://www.tourenwheels.com/wheels/tr76-gloss-black/
They are the 18inch 5x112s and come with 225/40R18 tires. Using an online calculator, the new wheels are slightly smaller circumference than the oem ones and should fit. Offset is 35mm for the new ones vs 45mm of the oem ones.

All other wheels I have tried won’t clear the absolute honking front brakes on my Audi, wondering if some wheel expert can tell me if these new 18inch wheels would clear everything and fit on this car? Thanks in advance to everyone

yeah it's the offset that might get you . higher offset means pulled further into the car, so will be 10mm.further in than current .

might work out being a 1/2 inch wider rim but pulled in 10mm...

only way to really know is compare to others running 18s..my son is running Audi 18s. I will.ask him if he knows the offset

Think he said the OEM are et45, new one et35, so new ones are 10mm out farther. But width also mones into play.
    I run and 18x8.5 et35 with a 235/40(225/40 in the past).
Depending on the price, and what ya wanna spend, id look for something better. Touren are a pretty cheap wheel.
But as for as fitment, if theyre 8j/8.5j et 35, they'll fit good.
Heres a few pics so you know how they'll fit. I run spacers though. 5mm front(et30), and 10mm rear(et25). On the borderline of rubbing, at my current height.0704231835a.jpg0712231350_HDR.jpg
Edit: see they are 18x8, so they will sit almost exactly the same spot on inside, and about 1/2" farther out(ish). Thats compared to your stock wheels.

I run 18x8” ET35 Enkei RPF01 wheels 245/40/18 with 18z front brakes and 17Z rear brakes. Run about 3mm spacer up front and 5 mm out rear. This clears the calipers by about 2mm. Likely closest fitment I am comfortable with. Tourer wheels spoke design im doubtful will clear calipers even at 35 et. The better the wheel the more R&D has been done to ensure clearance of brakes.

First hand I’d say pick up a set of 18x8” et45 S4 avus wheels they clear BBK with same spacers as above. For flush fitment 10mm front 15 mm rears and they sit about 2-5 mm inside the fenders outter lip.

Venture over to “willtheyfit.com”. One of the easier wheel tire calculators you can use to compare wheel sizes and fitment.

I’ll be ordering a set of forgestar wheels this summer. My request is in already for 18x13” custom offsets.

a whole 2 mm ?? well the benefit is you will know if your wheel bearing starts to go bad lol..

but seriously, i am very impressed how close wheels can run to calipers without causing issues.

Your correct. Luckily all bearing were just done last spring. And rears will be done again when dual 17Z caliper brackets arrive.

Ive seen people run enough clearance to barely fit a piece of paper, lol. Advantages of fixed calipers. Thats about how mine sit without spacers. Was running 3mm, but if have 5mm with built in hub ring adapters, so using them now. But if so wanna try them without, will give me more clearance for a meatier tire. Alse wanted to mill my caliper mounts a few mm's, to move them in, and run b8 s4 rotors(instead of b6/b7). Braking surface sits about 4mm in farther.
    Pic of test fit..

Thanks for the help everyone, as some of you said there is very little space between the caliper and the spokes. Even with the OEM Audi 58909 wheels there is less than half an inch of clearance from the caliper. In theory the offset with the new wheels should be enough to clear the brakes, I was just hoping there was a spec/known way to test that clearance. Worst case I could run some spacers to fit them.

I know these Tourens could be regarded as lower quality wheels, but the abuse this Audi has gone through from the previous owner probably means a new set of high quality wheels with some pilot sports will outlast the car itself. These 18x8.5s are near me and listed for $1000 CAD.

You can get some Superspeed wheels for about the same price, thats what I run. Theyre a Canadian company, so cost me more.. But theyre 10x better than those Touren. Theyre a lightweight, flowformed wheel, with extra caliper clearance. Food for thought, look em up.
