Audi a4 b8 no bass (concert radio)

Hey,

I have an audi a4 b8 avant 2009 carista.PNGconcert.jpgwith the concert radio. I do not have a subwoofer in the boot. So i am pretty sure i have the most basic sound system you can have. I don't think i have an amplifier but from the radio their is only out for RR, RL, FR, FL so from where does the center speaker get a signal?

One day I realised that my sound system sounds like trash and there is no base. When i scanned for error codes i got 4 error codes, one per bass speaker. When i use the fader it dosen't do anything and when i use the balance it sounds okay on the right side but like trash on the left side. There is no sound from any of the 4 bass speakers but all other speakers work.

I have checked the plug on the back side of the radio and its good.

I have understood that the both (tweeter and bass) door speakers use the same wires from the radio? So I dont think it is anything wrong with the wires? Maybe the radio has a problem giving lower frequency's?

Can some one please help??

The door tweeters do not exist, there is no speaker fitted there unless it's B&O, are you sure there is no subwoofer in the boot? Could be with the spare wheel

Yeah i just realised that the front door tweeters don't exist and neither does the center speaker. I thought i had one because of the speaker grill but it was empty under the grill.

I did some testing yesterday and used a multimeter to check for continuity in the wires in the front door. All speaker wires in and to the door are good. Then i measured the resistance in the speaker in the front door and there was nothing. So i guess the speaker is dead.

Checked all the speakers by ear yesterday again and now there is no bass from FL, RL and FR. All tweeters that have a real speaker;) are working and rear right bass speaker works. (It's possible that the rear right always worked but weird it still has an error code)

Can some one give me the part number for the rear speaker? Can't find it...and don't want to take a part the rear door just to check speakers part number...

There's three sound systems: basic (8RX), standard (9VD), and B&O (9VK). Check your PR codes and see which you actually have. The subwoofer is under the spare tire in the wagon, just behind the battery. Basic has neither dash center nor rear subwoofer. Standard and B&O have both a dash center and a rear subwoofer. Only B&O has tweeters in the door sail cards; basic and standard have the front tweeters in the dash corners. B&O has front mids in the dash corners.

That you have Concert, that's easy enough. Unit in the dash above the climate controls says "Audi concert".

Amplifier, if you have one, is going to be behind the left rear cargo hold cover. If you have nothing back there, then you must have basic, as both standard and B&O have an outboard amp. Only basic uses the Concert's integrated 4x20w amplification.

I have the 4x20W integrated amplification. I just cant find what the part number for the rear speaker is. I don't want to take off the rear door panel just to check.

Does anyone know the part number for the speakers in the 8RX speaker system?
