    Slip on exhaust tips

Just bought these exhaust tips from eBay. Absolutely love them. And there's no cutting. You just knock the oem tips off and slide these new ones on.

They pull straight out. Hit it with a rubber mallet or a hammer and a piece of wood

Call me crazy, but arent these slip on tips kind of a big deal as there are very limited if any options for our stock oval exhaust piping?

I'm new to Audi, so for me it's a big deal. I searched for tips, but couldn't find anything direct fit. I ended up buying a set on eBay that I was gonna have to cut the oval portion of the factory pipe to fit. I was happy to buy these and return the others.

That's great! The stock replacements are ridiculously expensive.

I just swapped my stock exhaust for a Milltek, otherwise I may have just done this!!
(The Milltek, unfortunately does not sound much different than stock w/res delete).

Here are the silver tips. They look fantastic! However, I'm a bit disappointed with the quality as one of the tab broke off. I had to JB Weld it back on and hopefully, it will hold since JB Weld claims to work up to 250F, which I don't think the tips will ever see those temperatures.

Edit - Just contacted the seller and they are sending a replacement...so the JB Weld will only need to hold on just temporarily. They were super quick to response, so kudos to the seller!

Thanks for the feedback on the Milltek I guess I'm sticking with my stock w/res delete

I like the look, the double wall gives it a bit more of a chunky look which I like.

Shocked, actually. Based on the sound clips I'd heard of the Milltek.
It may have a bit more low end grumble, but it sounds quieter than stock to me at speed (non-resonated valved version).
If you have other things to spend $ on, I would put them there.
Oval tips look much better new, which is consoling...

I installed my set this passed weekend and the hardest part was knocking the stock tips off. These slipped on exceptionally easily. They look great too.

Piece of wood and a hammer with some safety glasses and the oem tips come off.
Align and slip the tips on. Check the clips/teeth. Only one tip had to be adjusted because of the clips got caught like in the instructions.

Literally 15 minutes since the car was already in the air for a oil change.

These look awesome. Any idea if they fit an 8Y; I emailed the seller to find out forsure.

I am currently running my stock tips, painted matte black with high heat paint and a res. delete. Sounds perfect without spending an arm and a leg. Stock tips pulled right off, super easy.

**Already heard back from the seller before even posting this question. They don't fit. If anyone has a source for 8Y tips, I'd love to know.

Larger tips would look good, but the matte black looks great with everything else you have going on.

How have these held up? Do they wiggle and get misaligned on bumpy roads?

Plus one if anyone runs across this. I went from the Resonate Miltek to the Road+ Miltek to Non-Resonate Miltek and they're all only slightly different from each other and barely different than stock. To be fair, I wanted a quieter exhaust since I live close to people.
