    Rear subframe rust 2012 A6

    Hey all,

Wanted to get opinions from everyone here. Picked up this A6 a little over a month ago and getting an EVAP very small leak, so I was in the process of checking the NVLD and charcoal canister when I noticed this rust on my rear subframe. It looks mostly surface and when hitting the subframe it does sound solid, but seems like excessive rust. Is this something I can wire wheel off, use a rust penetrant for the tough-to-reach spots, then use something like Rustoleum/PoR-15?

    Thanks all

Move to where there's less road salt in the winter?
