RS3 Factory Carbon Ceramic Rotor Replacement Hinz Motorsport

RS3 owners - I've been speaking with Rich at Hinz Motorsport about replacement CCB rotors for the RS3. They currently import CCB replacement rotors for Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren, etc made by Surface Transforms (www.surfacetransforms.com)

If there is enough demand they'll consider providing an option for the RS3 platform. I have no affiliation with this company, just trying to find a superior CCB replacement for the factory option.

Does anyone know if the CCB rotors on this car are shared with any Porsches?

I would likely be in for these as well, depending on price.

FYI you can retrofit the OEM carbon ceramics to the non ceramic calipers, if you change the pads ofc. I bought mine off Ebay and had them shipped in for about 4800 for the rotor pair, brand new.

As long as it passes European certifications or american certifications and standards of safety I would see it with good eyes. I have seen a documentary/channel/program of how they build the ceramic brakes and it takes a lot of time to just complete one set, it is a time consuming process. The only problem would be convincing people to switch to ceramics because in today's market there are great steel alloy rotors brakes that are very capable and very cost effective.

Once you've run a street car with ceramics. There is no going back :)

Reviving this thread to state that I reached out and they are hoping to have an option available around May of next year. Rick stated they would need 5-6 people interested in kits to get something going, so hopefully by then there is enough interest.

I’m interested for 8Y RS3! I believe it’s possible to swap the iron rotors with ceramic rotors and pads keeping the same caliper from what I’ve seen.

I found another company that offers carbon ceramic rotors and pads for the RS3, but I don't know anything about them. It seems like a good option but I'm hoping someone may have some experience with them. The brand is INSPEED and they are offered by a site called icarmix in HK. I am still hoping Hinz has an option available soon and at a decent price but figured I'd ask for feedback on these in the interim. Thanks!
