    2022 Q3 Transmission problem.

Since new it has "thunked" into 7th and 8th gear. 2 trips to the dealer, one to re-flash the computer did not help, second trip they found metal in the fluid and ordered a new transmission. Took 2 months to get it, installed it, and the same "thunk" happens as before. They also let it sit outside in the winter for 2 months, and had to replace the front rotors and pads due to excess corrosion. Back brakes have scores in the rotors now due to the rust. Set to take it back in Tuesday, I believe we got a lemon. Have seen a few more instances of this in another Audi forum, wondering if anyone on here has the same issue. Dealer has been pretty good so far, but I am sure if we mention Lemon Law buyback they will get squirrely.

Things are what they are, I’d definitely go all in on them taking the thing back and getting into something else (within the 4 rings, of course! ) I’ve come to learn, solely based on my own life experiences that the longer you wait, the harder of a time you might have down the road once you do grow the courage to speak on up. DO NOT BUY A Q3!!!!!

Had it back to the dealer yesterday, they didn't even try and fix anything this time, told us they recreated the issues, then drove 2 Q3's on the lot and they both operated the same way, supposedly! Refused to do anything about the brake corrosion, and basically said too bad! Will have a conversation with the dealer today about moving to a Q5, but I am sure they will do their usual car dealer slimy retort. Have a lawyer meeting today to set things up if the dealer doesn't try and make it right.
Lawyer said it is pretty much a slam dunk, but will probably take a month to get it settled.

Not 100% on the Audi any longer. The Q5 has 16% German sourced parts, most parts are made and assembled in MX. Q3 is even worse, and is made in Hungary. So much for the German Engineering! I am now convinced the Q3 is just a lip sticked VW Taos with a high sticker price. My Chevy Silverado has an infinitely better transmission than the Q3!! Audi has gone a long path downward since the 2000 A4 the wife absolutely loved.

Hard for me to argue with you on that. Only certain models (A7, A8(L)+ and these breed S and RS models are those that actually hold up to German standards). I’ve also heard that Audi will go electric a lot sooner than BMW. I’m DEFINITELY switching things up to Munich headquarters if they decide to go down that route. I’M COMPLETELY AGAINST electric. Trust me, on this one, your lawyer definitely has a good point on that “slam dunk” statement. Practically as automatic as a prime Kobe fadeaway jumper!
