Have you had luck getting a good look at carbon buildup w a borescope? I'd love to get a look at mine but don't see a smooth route from the usual entry points.

You can get a good look through the spark plug holes for the pistons - for the valves you to go through the inlet flaps beneath the supercharger

You must have the 3.0T in mind, re supercharger.

Mine's the 3.2, like OP, so I'm just navigating the throttle body/plenum/runners etc.

We've had a couple of issues, one being a serious oil leak that turned out to be a cracked vapor separator housing which is between the banks, beneath the intake manifold. A de-carbon job was done since the valves were accessible. The second, and continuing issue is misfires at anything beyond light acceleration. Plugs and coils all changed, and the car runs very smoothly until getting on the gas. This is unfortunate because that 3.2 is a really potent N.A. motor when running right. It's my son's car now, and too far away for me to troubleshoot.

Well it’s good to seeing all of you guys pitch in with your responses! Thanks for the help, Also looking at the 2016 Q5’s with the 2.0 Flex Fuel In-Line 4. I’ve heard of timing chain issues, Does 2016 still have them or did they get a revision?
