Car became substantially faster after Liqui Moly engine flush

Just saying. No lubricant brand loyalty here really, but my 2013 A4 simply became a faster car after my shop flushed it prior to oil change. They also added Liqui Moly oil saver to the new change at my request.

After about 30km of driving it afterwards, there is simply much more immediately available torque. It's also idling just a bit gentler.

Unless the previous oil was not the correct oil or it was wayyyy past due for a change, I'm sorry, but this isn't believable. Placebo of the butt dyno.

If the oil was way past due to be changed, you may have internal wear that isn't good. These engines heavily rely on oil. I would recommend a change around 7k miles if there is heavier stop and go city driving.

I've used LiquiMoly engine flush before. The oil came out really dark, but I can't say the car became significantly faster.

I can, however, feel the engine not revving as readily after about 3000 - 4000 miles. Just a more sluggish feeling when revving up but the power is still there once you get the RPMs up. I can always feel the engine revving more easily after an oil change.

I also feel that the engine idles smoother using LiquiMoly Molygen versus Mobile 1 European.

This is all very confusing. Car is faster? Like 1 second faster zero to sixty? I could maybe buy smoother idle, but faster? That’s just crazy talk.

Is it possible there was some coked oil in the turbo that the flush helped clean out, and the turbo is spooling a little quicker? Just throwing out ideas, idk.

No, turbos that become oil starved fail very quickly.

im just going with Bolshoi ... or Bull for short...

needs to get his butt dyno recalibrated... it tends to go out of calibration when your wallet gets lighter to have things done.

Mine is usually faster and idles better after I wash it, but I also have a very powerful mind.

My car feels like it rides better when I vacuum out the interior, give her a good ArmorAll and leather clean... Anyone else??
