S3 8Y No Reverse

Hello All,

I got a new S3 in Nov... 3k miles on it now... 2 weeks ago it stalled and gave me error message and wouldn't allow me in reverse... It's at dealer waiting for parts... This is what I was told by dealer....

CUSTOMER STATES VEHICLE WONT GET INTO REVERSE AND TRANSMISSION MALFUNTION YOU C AN CONTINUE DRIVING NO REVERSE GEAR APPEARS , CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON P176F00 1 Clutch 2 closes unintentionally,GFF FOR THIS CODE SAYS TO REPLACE MECHATRONICS COMPLETE, U010100 1 Lost Communication with TCM U040200 1 Invalid Data Receive d From Transmission Control Module, Fluid Level checke out ok

Can someone explain this to me and as to why this happened with only 3k miles?

Speak with the service manager!

You Paid them the money for the car!

Im sure its still under warranty...

It would be very difficult for any of us to determine why your car had a specific failure, you should defer to your service advisor, the tech who determined the issue, and/or the service manager.

Yes i know and i asked n the service manager doesn't know... I want to ask the tech guys but I'll do that sat when I get my loaner... I was just wondering if anyone here understood why this happened.

What you posted in your first post says what happened...

The tech and service advisor are not saying in an effort to protect VW/ Audi.

The cars under warranty. It will get fixed.

Audi will secretly collect data on these and count how many fails and hopefully engineer a fix for future models.

The only way your going to get a real answer is hire a lawyer. As this is the only way in America to get anything done.

Stuff breaks, itll get repaired under warranty, dont worry about it
