S4 B9.5 Ambient Lighting

Hey Fam,

For those who have prestige trim and ambient lighting for your cars, B9’s have color changing footwell lights while the B9.5’s got changed to contour white lights on the footwell by default with no color changing option anymore even with prestige package. Does anybody know who sells a kit to change that specific bulb to synchronize the footwell lights to change colors as well instead of just having the color white?

My B9.5 actually didn’t come with ambient light! (Wasn’t standard yet)
I retrofitted footwell, cub holder, saddle and door last weekend.
It uses a module that flashes mmi. Then that same module is hidden (when everything is taken apart) and the wiring for the footwell and such all connect to it.
I’m not sure there’s a kit online that you can purchase that will connect to OEM module.

Not sure it would be possible, if they just put white lights there, they most likely didn’t wire it for RGB control.

I know there was a kit for B9 that you could add it to the dash and it connected though, so maybe if you could do it, you’d have to wire it to another section of the car and splice it in. But that’s assuming cad ambient lighting is anything like PC RGB headers

I have a 2021 B9.5. The white is actually a nice clean touch in the floors without being overdone.

The etron GT has RGB footwell lights. I wonder if the parts will retrofit or could be hacked to fit these cars.

The white is a nice touch for the footwell. But when the footwell lights can be matched with the surface and line colors, it's a vibe!

It's completely stupid we get white ONLY footwell illumination. Audi is definitely doing their best to let us know " because , fuck you " I'm pretty sure there's an algorithm that determines we want Piano black touch surfaces , no MMI knob . Not to mention white only foot wells illumination. Meanwhile the rest of the interior led plus we pay extra for is customizable. NOTHING CLASHES more than different colors in a " customizable" cabin . I'd much rather they leave that up to us , like before. This is my 5th S4 , probably my last. I paid extra for Prestige trim , worthless fucking Headlights "Matrix effect " bullshit interior led options, What are they doing ? This is a complete interface deviation from the B9. And its the same car. Every time I drive it, I notice a new irritating change. Nice work . Can't wait to see the B10

I think someone here did an ambient lighting retrofit to their B9 using a kit from aliexpress and used OBD11/VCDS to code it. If you search for it on aliexpress, theres many of kits available.
