Just got my 2013 Audi S5 DSG and have made a list of the mods that I plan on doing. I’m looking for any feedback on other mods to do, different brands to choose, etc. this is my very first sportier car as I’m coming from a Lexus ES 350. Any criticism helps!

Exhaust - I chose the AWE Touring. Solid quality. No drone at highway speeds. Noticeable but not loud in the interior at highway speeds. Plenty noticeable though when leaning into it. Kept the stock cats.

What finish on the tips did you go with, also I’ve seen a lot of debate on the forums on 90mm vs 102mm, which did you decide on?

Looks like a good list. How is it as far as issues and maintenance? I just got my S5 and I'm taking care of any issues mechanically before modding.

My car has aluminum trim so I went with the polished silver tips. The polished finish has held up well. Until the last few years I lived in Houston Texas so road salt wasn't an issue. I went with the larger tips. The tips have never contacted the opening, and the installer did nothing out of the ordinary during installation.

Here are my very humble comments for you

    - Tune2Air Bluetooth Cable: https://www.amazon.com/Bovee-Wireles...NsaWNrPXRydWU= Not needed, 2013+ has built in bluetooth via MMI 3G+
    - OBDEleven Pro: https://www.amazon.com/OBDeleven-Gen...ef_=ast_sto_dp Invest in a proper VCDS cable instead
    - AWE S Flo Intake: https://awe-tuning.com/products/awe-...-intake-system Nice intake, but for the money go with roceuro, definitely the most preferred over the years https://roc-euro.com/products/roceur...-intake-system
    - IE Stage 1 + Trans Tune: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-integrat...e/iesocgj1tcu/ I suggest sticking with one of the larger tuners - APR, unitronic
    - Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler: https://www.carbonimports.ca/collect...-lip-version-2 Cool add-on, as long as it sublt
    - RSNav CarPlay: https://rsnav.com/collections/standa...-3g-3g-mib-mmi
    - Dynamic tail lights: https://europrice.us/taillight-packa...celift-led-oem Waste of money, 2013+ have great stock tails, I don't see how this is different from stock
    - Black Honeycomb Grille: https://german-car-accessories.com/c...ill-conversion Nice, just take off the rs badge
    - Rear Diffuser: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part.../006241la01~a/ nice alternative to a pricier carbon. Also, these are a PITA to install
    - Carbon Mirrors: https://german-car-accessories.com/c...b8-5-a5-s5-rs5 these are nonsense upgrades that make your car look cheap IMO

Regarding the grille I can't see any difference online between that one and ones costing half as much?

You don't need a bluetooth adapter

Please buy an exhaust. I spent so much time and money trying to remove drone and work with different mufflers/resonators on my A5. If you go the custom route u will most likely get drone and need to use a j pipe or something. Buy the awe exhaust, seriously.

Definitely looking at the AWE Touring exhaust, seems like a good middle ground that’s not too loud

I found a black honeycomb grille online for $147, just installed on my white '13 S5 and it looks great! I am also installing a CR15 brace since they are cheap, you might consider that. I installed a shorter heavyweight shift knob that works great, but now I regret getting a metal one since it's cold in winter! Pondering a short shifter. For power, APR is having a sale until June . . .

Would love if you could send over the links for the grille and brace. Definitely don’t want to overpay on the grille if I don’t need to. Thanks!
