    Agreed, we really knocked it out the park, especially for the price and being a true full catback. The photo is our development SQ5 and that is the stock fake tips on that B9.5 facelift with whatever package is on it, haha. We did turndowns similar to stock so it would fit every version of 2018-2023 SQ5 and works with both standard and sport diffs.

    i second hostiles question. is there or will there be a tailpipe version that will exit the bumper with "black" quad tips?

    also didnt see mention of pipe diameter vs stock, or pass through flow. supposed power gains vs stock or upgraded turbos?

    It is, yes. That is a Stage 1 tuned stock downpipe SQ5 when filmed.

    I can't tell you on catless, but with a catted high-flow downpipe and hybrid it is loud, however, a 700WHP+ car is expected to be loud, haha. I know Need4Built on YouTube has one on the way for this IE Stage 3+ Pure750 car (which is also the current SQ5 1/4th mile record holder at 10.1), so those sound clips are coming from him, going to be rowdy.

    The whole system is 2.5" stainless steel tubing and designed to be as straight flow-through as possible. You will have zero exhaust restriction for any power goal you are chasing. Power gains on a catback are a bit silly, MAYBE you could force a gain on a stock downpipe, but all the power restriction is on the downpipe which even then is incredibly minimal and near immeasurable on a stock turbo. The stock turbo is quite small and the stock downpipe is VERY large, this platform just does not have the restrictions other historic Audi platforms have. It isn't until hybrids that a downpipe is necessary, even then we didn't see gains past the upgrading downpipe with midpipes or catback. We have dynod with the stock catback, aftermarket, and even no catback (removed for weight) on our 9-second world record holding B9 S4 and the power difference is not there. The real reason to upgrade the catback is to enjoy the sound -it's purely fun, and a lot of it at that. After all, it's an S-class SUV with a turbo V6 capable of hurting a lot of feelings with minimal mods, it should sound like it. :)

    As for tips, right now at release, we don't have the option to extend the tips to add real ones. We did, however, design it so that could be an option we can add if the demand is there.

    Is the non-carbon version available for purchase even though it's not yet released? Either way, what is the expected ship date? IE moved out the delivery of my carbon SQ5 intake by ~3 months (to the noted 4/17) which is a bridge too far I'm afraid. Would like to stay with IE.

    No, they are still being fully kitted, assembled, packed, etc... and won't be priced until it's finalized. Getting super close!

    Yes! Basically very much the same features, fitment, performance, flow, etc... in a polymer. I still think it looks very nice personally, they are a quality piece.

    I can't speak for your wife, haha, but yes I'd say so. Especially with a stock downpipe on it, it's very civil and comfortable when cruising and commuting but will wake up as soon as you smash the throttle.

    Does your system include a valve simulator like AWE? I read the instructions and saw the Need4Built video and it was just zip tied out of the way.

    I didn’t run the valve simulator for the first month. I never got any codes or dash warnings. I put it on, and idk no difference. maybe I wasn’t scanning the right module in VCDS but I don’t recall it even mattering if u use it or not

    If anything it should be installed just to protect the plug so it’s not exposed to the elements.

    I guess it could be cut to bolt up to the sport exhaust with flap?

    In cabin, windows up and cruising it’s noticeable but not much louder than my stock exhaust Prestige. Both of ours have the acoustic glass, most noticeable when you get on it of course. I personally don’t want to lose the valve functionality, or I’d be all over the system.
