Stock suspension finally gave out, figured I might as well replace with coilovers (getting edc delete kit from kw too).

Trying to narrow down the current list of coils, if anyone has any input or experience with any of them and can help me chose I'd appreciate it.

Just my daily, so doesn't need to be track ready or anything, just want to sit a little lower to close the wheel arch gap.

    Short list:
    ECS adjustable dampening coilovers
    Megan racing euro street series
    Godspeed mononax
    Ksport kontrol pro
BC racing BR series (also extreme low option)
    ST X performance coilovers
    ST XA performance

If anyone can advise me or tell me which ones to absolutely avoid it would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I've got a set of KWV3's on my RS6, best ever. Lots of available adjustments, no frequent rebuilds required (Ohlins), and great warrantee. On my RS5 I've got a set of H&R Sport Coilovers, a little over half the price of the KW's and still pretty darn good.

KW Street Comfort is, in my opinion, by far the best coilover setup for people who want to be able to customize their ride height AND have a more comfortable ride than stock.

I installed ksports a few years ago:
1, went to raise my car for > clearance and Winter tires; rear coilovers are frozen; could not adjust.
2, not to say this wouldn't have happened to other coilovers, mine is a daily driver and Winter cinder and debris will cause some corrosion. Sleeves may help protect from that?l
3, if you'r going to lower your car, you may want to think about replacing all the front control arms with adjustable aftermarket ones. The firmness of the coilovers and change in geometry will ruin your stock suspension arms. Found out the hard way, just had to replace all of mine.
4, I'm going to have to replace mine as well as the rears are frozen: depends on if you are looking for track firmness and stability or are you are just looking to drop your daily street ride but keep the ride comfortable. For the latter you may not need as much dampening: ECS, Solo-Werks, HR Street Perf.
    Hope this helps,
    Good luck.

When you install your coilovers, I recommend spraying them with a heavy coating of Fluid Film. It does a really good job resisting corrosive winter road chemicals and keeping the threads operating smoothly.

Another tip: After you lower your vehicle it is a good idea to loosen all of your control arm bushing bolts. Bounce the car up and down a few times. Then retighten the bolts with the vehicle in the loaded position. This will take the twist out of the bushings caused by lowering the car and significantly enhance the life of the bushings.
