C8 RS7 dynamic tail lights ‘delete’

I just purchased a 2023 RS7 and due to the chip shortage it came with a ‘delete’. It seems that the toll module is the most common delete but some, like mine, have deleted dynamic head and tail lights. However my headlights do everything that they are supposed to do and the tail lights are only missing the welcome and goodbye animations. After doing some digging I see some sites in the EU that can send over the lights with the dynamic lighting active.

    e.g
    https://europrice.us/taillight-package-a7-s7-rs7highline

Seems very doable with a little wiring and a VCP.
I can’t find any US based sites that offer replacements at this time. Any suggestions? I could just buy the parts but without some idea of what the programming and wiring requirements are I’d be wasting my time.
Other option is to just get over it and enjoy this beast as it is.

After owing M5s for years and now moving to Audi my goto parts places are no longer relevant
so I appreciate the newbie guidance.
    Thanks

    Congrats on your purchase!

Before you attempt to buy the tail light. Double check using the obdevelen scanner tool to activate the dynamic rear lights. Its the same hardware I believe just the programming.

Otherwise europrice has all the stuff and I have gotten some stuff from them before.

Thanks for the advice, and good to know that europrice is legit. Surprised that there aren't places in the US that provide the equivalent 'kit' so to speak, with lights, wiring, instructions. Europrice looked up my vin and saw that they dynamic was deleted, and not sure why Audi would say 'deleted' if it is just a programming issue. But I can't see what physically would be different with the lights themselves vs a chip in a module and/or some wiring difference. Surely the physical lights are identical, unless there is some internal part that receives a signal from the module to activate the dynamic aspects.
I'll buy an OBDeleven and start there.

There are specific taillights by part number and function for standard LED (8SK, 8SP) and what Audi would call Highline LED (8SQ) taillights. They list as physically different parts for all taillights along with specifically keyed plugs for each taillight application. This also applies the A6, S6, RS6 models as well.

As more cars seem to have this "delete" issue it's certainly a personal preference to want to have the full Highline LED functions and the added bonus is that with the Rest of World (EU) taillight kits you can add the rear fog light which the North American cars do not have plus you get separated functions along with the orange turn signals as well.

More info for both the 6 and 7 models:

Taillight Package | A6, S6, RS6, A6 allroad (Avant, Highline) <-Click Link for More Information

    Taillight Package | A7, S7, RS7 (Highline) <-Click Link for More Information

For anyone that Audi ends up "deleting" the highline taillights these taillight packages will get you upgraded and as mentioned there are add bonuses to having the RoW (EU) taillights as well. Note that VCP is required to set the proper taillight parameters for these taillight packages. Some setups require more wiring than others, more when you are adding the rear fog light.

If anyone has any questions on this or anything else don't hesitate to let me know here or via email: [email protected]
