Can't miss with any of big name tuners like the ones mentioned.

Thanking ahead about what other mods you might do down the road is important because each have their own upgrade path.

Bedsides that, go with whichever gives you the warm and fuzzies.

I went with Eurodyne because you get all the files (stage 1, 2, and 3) at once, and I already had the flashing cable.

Cobb AccessPort with EQTuning - by far the best solution and once you have the AccessPort you have access to a lot of different tuners.

I also went with EQTuning stage 1 via Cobb AccessPort. The EQT dsg tune is REALLY good but I also enjoy flashing to the Cobb OEM+ dsg tune for road trips because it's a bit more efficient with the mpg.

I have been happy with my APR hi torque/DSG stage 1. I needed a CARB accepted tune, and APR for my car does this.

Since you're in Comifornia, is the IE tune CARB approved? I'm only aware of 2 tuners that are currently CARB approved - APR and COBB (and therefore, extending to their pro-tuners, ie. EQT)

IE stage 1 Blew my motor. Its a long saga. PM me.

They mess with emissions and dont tell you... they get their power because they pull back the safety measures for knock. These motors are especially susceptible to LSPI (Low Speed Pre Ignition) which is what blew the piston apart on humble mechanic's youtube Q3 motor. When you pull the safeties back for Knock on a motor that is very fuel and knock sensitive... it ends poorly. I have switched to APR and will only use Motul in the motor going forward.

Flash at your nearest AUDI dealer. Whether it’s APR or Uni you’ll be in good hands. Make sure you get the DSG tune, it sucks to fork out the extra money but you need it. Sounds like you have too much of a learning curve to really mess with something like flashing yourself and choosing or tweaking tune files like with Cobb for example. GOAPR

Any hesitancy you have about getting tuned will disappear as soon as you hear the new engine note with your motor tuned when it fires up. The unwritten deal is that if you flash at a dealership they will usually be cool about warranty repairs instead of just pointing to the tune to absolve themselves of liability or warranty work

You can keep your JB4 installed as it is a “piggy back” module but I don’t think it can do anything the acesssport can’t; like program launch control/ boost by gear ect. IE is good, you’ll be a happy camper and the COBB/EQT is the best way to tune if you plan to continue modifying your car

Yes you can return the pos IE tune, yes remove JB4, if you want to tune from home that would be Uni and GIAC, APR is a dealer visit, and as stated above get the matching DSG tune.

First of all I'm not under warranty second is you sound like you work for apr haha but I understand everything your putting out and apr is a good company and to be honest I think tuning it may just increase my odds at another speeding ticket as I just got out of one going 109mph (cost me 500 for lawyer) and another going 75 in a 55 zone bs but dropped and honest I have a few things like tires radiator and a rad fan to get before even tuning but I can't send back the tune yet cuz it gets here today so we will see what I end up choosing but just wanted some feedback to help me decide

Something clearly wrong. What tune did you put on it? Maybe best to remove it altogether.

Is your tune for the right vehicle? I remember you saying before you have the FWD 1.8T as opposed to the the 2.0T. Check spark plugs? I would take it to a performance/aftermarket shop who can diagnose it.

Perspective: Cobb's tunes that they provide with the AP do not alter the knock retard or sensor tables at all. People regularly complain that Cobb's tunes suck because they have high timing retard numbers. If you increase boost and timing to get more power and don't alter the stock tables of course timing will be retarded more. It's implausible that tuners aren't modifying the stock tables if they are increasing boost and timing.

Prediction: You'll be posting about a blown motor soon. You can't just clear codes and its all good. Something is seriously wrong.

OK so I read the codes thru the ie tuner and the only one that came up was mass air flow sensor or volume air flow sensor but I flashed car back to stock and that's only code came up. Haven't driven it yet but will soon within hour

Step one - fix all known issues with the car. MAINTENANCE BEFORE MODS!
Step two - confirm the car is operating 100% and maintenance is up to date.
    Step three - add mods.

If you do these out of order you will find yourself chasing small issues here and there perpetually, and never enjoying the car at its true performance peak.

Make sure you took the jb4 off if you tuned it. I'm not sure you got good advice about that. Definitely one or the other.

You need coil packs. Buy OEM Eldor brand coil packs. Do not buy any 3rd party brands of coil packs. Change them and you will avoid being stranded with blown coil packs. These fail 100% of the time after being tuned in my experience and I have never had good experience with any other brand coils except OEM and specifically the Turkish made eldor brand. I don’t work for APR, I am a customer, but not a big fan truthfully since I will have to switch brands to go to stage 2 anyways after they pulled that discontinuation of stage 2 tunes stunt.

So not sure what this issue is but I fixed the coils and spark plugs but I think the coils that were bought on Amazon are the reason behind my troubles. I thought the ones I bought were the original ones / stock ones (which the brand is A-premium) bought come to find out there not and the ones I'm looking for that are stock are about $60 each so I guess until I have the funds to get those, we will just have to see if that's the issue bcuz just now on the way to lunch I punched it and the check engine light came.on and it started hesitating to go/accelerate and I scanned the car and misfires fault codes were popping up
