Angry Battery problem on my e-tron

Hi I'm new on the forum,
I purchased my first beautiful Audi, a 2022 e-tron Sportback, on September 29, 2021 from Audi St. Bruno. It was in the showroom and I took delivery October 8, 2021. One year later on November 4, 2022, I encountered a power failure problem. The vehicle would not respond. I contacted Audi to send a towing to deliver the vehicle to the nearest Audi dealership at that time which was in Sherbrooke, Quebec Canada.

After almost two months, my car is still in pieces with the entire bottom separated from the vehicle and I have not been given a date of when repairs will be made. I can forward photos of the present situation if required – not an encouraging sight.

I believe the dealership is doing all they can, but I sincerely think Audi is not.

I would appreciate someone at Audi contacting me with an explanation of how and when my vehicle will be repaired and returned to me. The part number of the battery section they ordered is 4KE915591J.

I have been in contact with Customer Relations and got this response, due to the Gobal manufacturing and shipping delays that are well outside of Audi's control, , we are unable to promise or guarantee a date when the parts will be available as per your request, there is no way of expediting the delivery process. We sincerely apologize for the unfavorable. Well, if it's outside of Audi’s control whose control is it…

I don't know who to turn to anymore!

I enjoyed my vehicle & wish to enjoy it again soon.

If you are experiencing power failure problems with your Audi e-Tron and your dealer is not responding, it may be best to contact the Audi customer service team for further assistance. They should be able to provide further advice and help you troubleshoot the issue. Additionally, you may want to check if there are any recalls or service bulletins related to your model of e-Tron, as this could also be contributing to the problem. If the issue persists, it may be best to take your vehicle to a different dealer or an independent mechanic to get a second opinion. To prevent e-Tron battery power failure, it is recommended to park the car in a cool and shady area to avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures that can inhibit the battery's lifespan. Opting for slower charging can also help prolong the battery's life. Regular maintenance and servicing of the vehicle can help detect any potential issues before they become major problems. It is also important to ensure that the 12V battery is functioning properly as it powers many of the car's systems.

Contact the sales department at the dealership the car is at, explain your "still under warranty E-tron" is in the service department, and you'd like to trade it in for something that uses only gasoline. You think I'm joking. The battery/supply issues aren't going to get any better any time soon.

When I was at Audi, sales took in trades from service all the time. In fact, it wasn't uncommon for salesmen to casually strike up conversation with clients in service and sell them a new car.

I had a major problems getting my 2022 Sportback 55 from a power failure problem that took 14 weeks to solve, Finally picked it up 2 weeks ago, I did 1080KM with the vehicle since, with no issues but I'm somewhat concerned how reliable it will be. If I have another problem I will definitely dup it and maybe go for a BMW or a Porsche in 2024.

What you experienced is a general issue with EVs and EV batteries. Audi is not alone with problems. Look up at the BMW i4 and MB Battery issues - all the same kind of problems and recalls.
Not that this justifies what Audi did not do, you are 100% spot on criticizing them, but the issue is EVs are not ready for primetime until battery tech makes a breakthrough. Get at your own risk.

Sorry to hear of your battery problems I can sympathize with you as for last 3 years I have had to replace my RS7 battery (very costly) because the battery slowly drained....I guess it would considering I was out of the country for 4 months. It's parked in an underground parking place no AC available to use a trickle charger. I recently traded the RS7 in for an Audi RS etron GT, have less than 100 miles on it...love it. But am I going to run into the same battery problem (the drain of the 12 volt lithium battery if I leave on another 4 month out of the country trip?) Again at this point I have no access to AC, the condo board is investigating the installation of some EV charging points but the initial charge was going to be $15-$20k. Even if I ad EV charging point.....that wouldn't charge the 12 volt battery. Any suggestions would be great appreciated.

Hope all turned out ok with you on that instance. Really does suck, man. Seems as if ever since the plandemic, things have really gone to … Inflation, rates through the roof, fuel pricing, grocery pricing, lack of parts and inventory. F#%K, late next year/early 2025 can’t come fast enough. 🫡
