Interesting dash layout, but image size of the instrument panel appears smaller than our current 2019
Audi RS 3 instrument lettering. Soon to be 83 years old I don't think I could read these very well at all
compared to our 2019 Audi RS 3 instrument dispalys. My vision is good and at 20-20.

A view of the instruments at a closer view, making the displays a bit larger to what the driver actually
sees would perhaps give the viewer of your video a better perception of the content.

I am in agreement with you Rod. I actually prefer the virtual cockpit in the 8V over the 8Y. I do wish we got the performance edition 8Y RS3 seats here in the US as they would be a worthwhile upgrade over the factory seats. The rest of the interior is feel is a update/upgrade over the 8V .

It shouldn't bother me that much, but it does. Also, the lack of alcantara reminds me of a simple 8V S3 wheel.

Flat bottom steering wheel and old audi sport digital speedo + tach vs. Power seats and HUD.

The manual seats on the 8V are okay once you own the car but tough to swallow up front. If it wasn't for all that stage1+ e85 power, I'd be more upset that my mazda cx-9 has HUD, power + memory seats and cooling seats at a $20k lower price point.

I also very much dislike the runway audi sport tach on new RS models vs the one in the 8V and older RS models. That being said, I think it's hard to argue that the 8V is on the same level as the 8Y re: luxury. 8V is clearly a fancy VW while the 8Y is a baby audi.

I don't really get the fuss over the flat bottomed steering wheel. It gives you a little more room when getting in and out I guess. I had one in my old Focus RS. Maybe it looks a little nicer, but rally style cars always have round wheels anyways. Flat bottom is for GT racing. Alcantara is nice, but not on steering wheels. I prefer leather for durability.

And the runway mode is not as bad as it seems, but I don't use it. You still have the option for a traditional round gage or the sporty big hockey stick looking tach, which is what I use.

I also don't mind the shifter. My only real complaints are the lack of a heated steering wheel, ventilated seats, and no way to install a 4 point harness (fixed headrest and no slots in the backrest).

One thing I'd love to know is if there are reflective materials on locations where you'll be blinded on sunny days. For example in my 18, around the shifter area, they have silver trim that reflects the sun right back into your eyes. My zl1 has chrome trim around the gauge bezel that does the same thing. It's so annoying.

I've had my 2023 RS3 for 6 months so far and haven't noticed any blinding reflections. Have had those on other cars, though.

Have a '22, when the sun is at the right angle it reflects off the piano black trim around the shifter. Easy enough to block with my arm as I hold the steering wheel. I really couldn't care less though. I have experienced this in some respect with almost every vehicle I have owned.
