Replaced alternator and battery… Car still won’t start

Yeah, about two weeks ago I was driving the car out of the road. After calling AAA and doing some diagnostic when I got home, I realized that the culprit was a bad alternator. I replaced the alternator yesterday as well as adding a new battery to the conversation the old one was passed his life expectancy. at this point, the car has juice but it does not want to turn over to start. It has fresh gas in her and also the plugs and coils aren’t that old. The noise I get when pushing the key in almost sounds like something is blocked. Any help on a next time even if somebody has had the same problems would be really appreciated. I tried searching, but came up pretty much empty-handed.

I'm not sure coding would stop the car from turning over, but just to rule it out... Did you code the battery to the car?

Is the starter turning over? Are you using the key or start button?

Coding the battery has nothing to do with it, but obviously you should check the fuses for the alternator.

No, I did not the battery to the car. The starter sounds like it’s turning over. I haven’t checked it with a meter yet. I know this is going to sound dumb as I don’t have the original. Owners manual. But which fuse box are the fuses for the alternator him. So far I have come across the one on the drivers door, the one on the passenger door and the one in the trunk on the right hand side. But have come up empty

Might also be worth noting that the car isn’t presently throwing any codes

Have you tried turning the motor over by hand? It is very possible that your balance shafts have seized causing a no crank. If the engine turns over but does not start. Double check and make sure you have everything plugged in on the back of the alternator and that the grounds are good.

    this

i have written about this at length...

pull the plug so you ae not fighting compression , put the car in neutral and put a wrench on the crank .. it should turn over like butter...

if you were driving along and all of a sudden it felt like you were losing power and it just stopped .. thats likely what it is .. if your alternator had dies and you were driving along on battery power your alternator light would have lit up like a christmas tree telling you it cant put ot 12v. If you didnt see this it is not the alternator or the battery ...
If you try to start it and its seized there is a good chance you have burned out ( or could burn out) the starter.

It was reading your posts about the balance shafts that led to my question. I hope the starter is fine at this point but it only took 1 crank when my motor grenaded to burn up my starter...

yeah usually that braided wire from the solenoid to the starter cooks.
