    RS5 Wheel Fitment guide.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey I'm a new Audi boi. Got my RS5 Coupe in the end of October.

As much as I love the Audi Wheels, I feel like I need a bit more pazazz.

I wanted to ask if someone has a master sheet on what wheel size and offset (and tires) would fit on stock suspension (and maybe even lowered).

I am thinking of going for 20x10" or 20x10.5" wheels all around with 285/30r20 or 295/30r20 MPS 4S's. After browsing a bit I can see that a lot of people run around a et18 offset?

Having known bounds for wheel widths, offsets etc would be nice.

    Thanks again :)

Look at the wheel gallery under the A5/S5/RS5 thread. Lots of info. Depends on how aggressive you like the fitment and whether or not you are going to stay at stock ride height. FWIW, I am also speccing some aftermarket wheels and have narrowed my choice to 2 fitments. I am staying with stock ride height.

    1. 285/30/20 tires on 20x10 ET 24 wheels
    2. 275/30/20 tires on 20.9.5 ET 18 wheels

The first option gives a little more grip, fills out the wheel well a little more as well as giving a slightly larger air cushion. The second option saves a couple of pounds. Since I spent $$$$ on Ceramic brakes in large part to save unsprung weight, the more I can additionally save with my wheels and tires the better.

    Will do, thank you.

Thank you for the options. The first option seems more my speed seeing that I love me my grip and I'll go Stage 1 from 034 real soon. Yeah Stock ride height for me.

How do your ceramic brakes feel? I didn't opt for them because I don't really need it for street but they woulda been sick to have regardless.

The Ceramics are amazing. I spec'd them for the first time on my Porsche Spyder and now I won't go without. They bite aggressively and feel really good. The biggest benefit however is the massive reduction in unsprung weight which makes a significant difference in ride quality and steering responsiveness. That, and almost no brake dust. I am looking at BC Forged monoblock wheels which will weigh 21-22 lbs. I don't get when people buy performance cars then put massive boat-anchor wheels on them.

BC Forged monoblock wheels are HOT. I absolutely love the stuff they do but they're a lot of $$$ :(

But damn you're lowkey making me regret not getting Ceramics. Also I completely agree. It always annoys me seeing heavy ass wheels on such nice, fast cars. I'm looking at some Variant Cold forged wheels but don't know the weights of just yet.

In today's market, BC are inexpensive when you consider what you are getting. I used to run HRE, but most of their offerings now price out at over $3k per wheel and up. They have had a very significant price jump recently. FYI....stock 20" wheels are forged and from 26.5-28lbs with the peak design wheels being lighter. I have heard the 2023 Competition wheels are a bit lighter still but I don't know by how much.

You don't need the added weight and noise of 10.5" wheels or 295 tires. Even tuned, 285 on a 10" wheel will sit well and give more grip than you will ever use.

I’ve got Vossen HF-3’s (20x10et20) with 285 Michelins and love the set up. Rides and handles great. Mine is a SB and the wheels/tires are nearly flush. Not exactly cheap but I’m glad I went with this configuration. Mops helped me out a ton, he knows his stuff.

Hey everyone, not trying to takeover the thread, so I apologize in advance. I’m sure this question has been answered before, but I couldn’t find it. I have a 19’ Sportback with the, “Peak Milled Forged” wheels and I like the look of them in bronze with the, “Bronze Package” on the newer B9.5’s. I was thinking about getting them powder coated, but read so much conflicting information about, “forged” wheels not being safe to powder coat online? The shop I’m taking them to in Denver has 5 star reviews and from their pictures work on high end cars from Lambo’s, Porsche’s, R8’s etc. I don’t track the car and don’t plan to, but was wondering what people’s thoughts and experiences were with this?

Are you on the stock suspension? Do you feel like your car looks "raised" at all from certain angles or not?

When I had HRE wheels on past cars, I would read about people sending their wheels in to get refinished all the time. I have never personally done it.

I had a set of my forged track wheels powder coated for my Corvette track toy with no issues. I never heard of this before.

Yes, stock suspension. No, to me I think it looks lower than stock. It’s not but looks that way.

oh I didn't know the stock wheels weighed that much. Thank you.

Yeah 285s on 10" seem good for my needs for a while.

I went 285/30 on my stock RS5 20 inch wheels and put 12mm spacers up front and 15mm in the back. The fitment is perfect and no rub, however I did not lower it. It surely would rub if I lowered it
