In the market for a RS5

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Dear all,
I'm in the market for either a S5 Sportback of a RS5 Coupe. Plan to lease it and for the obvious, the S5 lease number is more appealing but my heart goes to RS5 if I can justify it. So far all the dealers are still asking ADM on the RS5. Is that still a thing, or I can expect MSRP or even slightly lower?

If you get the S5, your always going to wonder and maybe even regret, whenever you see an RS. Get the RS, you'll be happier, you only live once.

RS Coupe or Sportback, you can't go wrong.

Someone on AW picked up a brand new 2023 RS5 SB for $12K off MSRP a few weeks ago. It was a showroom car so they didn’t need to order it. An outlier for sure, but I think the days of ADM on all new cars will be ending soon. With interest rates rising and a recession looming I think dealers will have to start to get realistic. I’m already seeing big price drops in used cars that have been sitting for 30, 60, and 90 days. Something unheard of 6-8 months ago.

I feel the same way. Good thing is RS is still not a common sight to see around here.

I feel like RS5 looks better in Coupe form but can't beat the practicality on Sportback. My goal is to find a relatively low spec RS5 to close the gap from S5. I'd like to see if I can pull it off.

That's crazy number. Most dealers that got them here still asking a premium.

I can tell you that the market has changed for all cars the last 3-6 months. Audi is no different. Look around and see if you can find what you want in stock at a dealership. They may try to get an ADM, but its not happening any longer. Have patients, you will find one.

I bought an S5 and traded it in 2 months later. Costly buyers remorse. Just go with the RS5.
You'll probably have more luck ordering at MSRP than finding one on lot.

Just curious....why a Sportback with the S5, but a coupe with the RS5?

I see the purpose being different between the two. I like the RS5 in its pure sports car coupe form while the S5 is an all-around car and love the practicality of the Sportback if I ever need that. I'm certainly not ruling out the RS5 Sportback, just thinking the Coupe looks better. Pure personal opinion of course.

No more ADM.....I see RS5 pricing dropping as we speak!! Seen quite a few 2022 slightly used one dropped in price in around $5-10K. I see the car price market going down some more as interest rates will increase a bit more!!

The RS5 Sportback is a physically larger car (although not much) in both length and height. I bought an RS5 coupe as I preferr the more compact footprint. With the seats down, still plenty of room for golf clubs, luggage and other touring essentials. And pricing for any RS car is much more favorable for buyers than 6 months ago.

Happy to report I'm officially in the club. Stroked! Actually found the one that has all the options I need but not over the top and got the number to work. since it doesn't have the Dynamic Package (I actually prefer the black calipers), I plan to do the Öhlins coilovers and dropped a bit. Can't wait for the transformation.

    Congrats on your new car!

I ordered an RS5 Sportback in October for MSRP. The SB was the obvious choice for me because I still need to haul kids around so having 4-doors and a back seat that can fit 3 was a must.
I went with the comp package because I know I'll never do aftermarket performance upgrades, so getting some from the factory will be nice.

Welcome to the club! I was in the same boat and did the same thing. I had an S5 sportback prestige which I loved, but I kept eyeing the RS5, so I stopped modding the S5 and traded it in for the exact spec RS5 I wanted. man, what a difference, and as Lethalsouls mentioned, should have just done it from the beginning. Now we need to see those pics!
