After almost 2+ months of searching, we found a 2019 Q8 that we like and moving forward with the deal. It currently has 2yrs/16K mi left on the original 5yr/50K mi warranty. Paperwork only shows drivetrain, basic, mechanical features to be covered but does it also cover electrical and sensor-related issues as well? Looking at how these cars have a gazillion sensors, it would stand to reason they're covered but wanted to confirm. Is it truly a bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage?
The car includes Driver Assistance Pkg which comes with "intersection assist". On the test drive last night, while starting from an intersection, a car jumped the red in the perpendicular direction and went straight across us but the Q8 did not flag it as a hazard. Is this how it's supposed to work? I also had trouble engaging cruise control to test out ACC (traffic jam assist) and LKAS features. I tried to engage it per the instructions and although it would show all the relevant info on the HUD, it just wouldn't activate. There were no sensor warning messages though - is this common or is there some trick to activate it?
Overall, pretty excited to pick up this car.
