    C7 S6 Level Sensor Calibration

I've been having some intermittent air suspension issues on my 2013 S6, fault code C104807... and I want to rule out it simply being a bad level sensor. So I ordered new sensors for both the front left and right. My question is, do I need to calibrate them through OBD11 after installation or can I just swap them out? FWIW, the vehicle is lowered through a combination of lowering links, OBD11 and TGK forks.

    Thanks in advance

Yes you have to update the calibration if you remove or replace a level sensor.

Thanks! I replaced it, calibrated all 4 corners and it fixed my issue.

How would one go about doing this? I have OBDevelen, i cant figure it out for the life of me. I know how to change the ride height at each wheel, but seems like that is different than calibrating the leveling sensors.

    Thanks!

Not sure it can be done with OBD11.. below is the link to the VCDS procedure. I'd do this before replacing sensors, especially if you lowered the car via coding prior to seeing the error. If you lowered it too much without all 4 sides being calibrated first it may eventually throw a sensor error.

Setting the ride height at each corner IS calibrating the sensor. So once you install the new sensor, simply go through OBDeleven and set the ride heights like you are already used to doing.

Ohhh that makes much more sense, thanks for the response fellas. I must have something else going on. I have recalibrated the height multiple times now and even when I do that, my front passenger wheel comes out like a half and inch lower than the others. So I adjust accordingly and sure enough after a few days it is sagging, so I suppose I have a leak somewhere? What I don't understand is why the car doesn't level itself out even if there is a leak. It's obviously a slow leak, so why wouldn't it self adjust to be level? It always reverts back to being like a half an inch lower after I start the car and drive it

That's what mine was doing... ended up being a bad sensor. I went into OBDeleven and used the Live Data feature in the suspension section... #34. I looked at what the deviation from calibrated values were for all 4 corners and the passenger front was like -.6". While the other three corners were roughly -.1". So I started with replacing the passenger front sensor... fixed it!

I have this same exact issue. replaced all 4 sensors.. BUT, when i get to the calibration portion of it, I can't get into the Chassis control module to recalibrate like i usually do. Its blacked out.

    Anyone run into this?
