That's one of the rarer fault codes relating to the mechatronics which controls gear shifting. What is the car build year and how many miles has the car done? What is the service history for the gearbox (specifically the gearbox, not just general service)?

    Audi A5 2013 3.0 TDI Quattro stronic.

95k miles i owned it since 40k so most of that was me, I had the stronic serviced by 4 rings dartford who said there was no debree in it and oil looked good. I since serviced it myself in 2020 because of a transmission leak from the transmission cooler.
I carried the work out myself with aid from my audi tech friend on the phone, videos images etc and managed to do it myself new strainer checked magnets so so, even opened the strainer to check for debree there too. Changed the fluid to the ElsaWins guidelines followed the procedure etc.

It sat for a month during my leak repairs did the bushes too at the same time after work needed fans too etc

well i changed the battery and it seems to have solved my issue.

    old battery

    new

took it for a hard drive and no issues now!
