Possible to run 305 tires on 22x11 wheel?

Hey all. I just ordered a set of 22 x 11 wheels and I am wondering if I can run a 305 tire at stock height without rubbing? If so, can it also be run if the car is lowered? Or does it depend on the offset of the wheel? This is on an RS6 and I was told I should buy a 295 / 30 / 22 but tires are very limited in this size so looking at dropping down to a 285 or moving up to a 305.

    Thanks in advance.

    Paging Martin...

Depends on your offset, but 305/30 can be done on a lowered RS6.

Is currently being done (stock height and lowered) and most definitely depends on offset.

I've found 305 has even fewer options than 295. If you find somewhere that has PSS in that size and in stock, hit me up.

Interesting. The reason I was asking is because Michelin makes the PS4/5S in 285 and 305, but not 295 as far as I could tell on their website tire finder. In a 295 they don't give you the option for a 22" wheel. Only tire I was able to find in a 295 was a Continental which aren't bad but I love my PS4S.

Haven’t seen PS4S in 305, only PSS. PSS 295/30R22 have been discontinued hence why I’m running the 305.

Yeah, my bad... just realized it was only the PSS in the 305 size. What other tires do you recommend in a 295? Is it only the Conti?

I’m running the Conti 295’s on my 2022 RS7 and really liking them. Just got back from a 4 day rally with a lot of mountain type roads and they handled great. Lots of hard turns at speed. I will get them again when the time comes.

I’ve been impressed with my set as well. After running PSS and PS4S for years I would say they are 80% of a ps4s. I’m not a huge fan of the road noise, but they nearly as sticky as the michelins

Pirelli has PZ4 in 295 which is same tire as OE 285. Toyo has something in 295. Both run skinny.

Grey market (EU) has more options and still list MPSS.
