    Wheel part

I know this is a daft question, but what's the part immediately outside the centre disc?
All 4 of mine are perished and ideally would like to replace, or are they part of the actual wheel?

    Thank you

Theyer center caps. Theyre exspensive to replace, about $50/ea. But ya can take them apart and paint/clear them. Wurth silver wheel paint is a perfect match.1025201937_HDR.jpg1019201353.jpg

Ah they look fantastic! Can I remove them and still use the car? (Yes, I'm NOT a manly man and ask stupid questions about cars!)
    Thanks for your patience

And did you just spray over the entire thing, audi rings and all?

You insert a hook into the hole in the center cap where the rings are and pull smartly. There should be a hook packed with jack/tool kit in the trunk (boot). Jayz says you can separate the ring part from the rest of the part. I didn't know this, but if you can't, I'd mask that part off. The caps are just trim covering the lug bolts; will not affect driving

To my astonishment, the tool is there and caps cane off easily
The bit of mine that's tarnished is the plastic disc bit, so won't even need sanded or primed, just resprayed and lacquered?

I'd do a very light sanding to get the outer ring even and put painters tape all over the center to make sure there is no over spray. Would not risk the paint getting on the emblem unless Jayz says he did it that way.

Yes, as in my pic, everything comes off. Then sand, prime, paint, clear. Paint I mentioned matches perfect, and 2k clear for best results. Paint supplies will cost $50-$60, but will come out like new, for the cost of 1 new one. When paint dries, reinstall rings and trim rings. They have tabs ya push out from the back. Just be gentle, use a small pick or flathead.
