About 223k right now for me. Was gonna sell but after our Wrangler got hit ($17k) and we need a new roof soon we decided to keep the A7 until at least spring/summer 2023. Need to fix a fault, bank 1 intake runner flap stuck open; did not get something right after doing the t-stat. I will do the PCV when I pull the charger back off. I need to fix a broken wire for the backup speaker. But otherwise not much else to do on it other than the 10k oil change which I will do when I do the PCV.

could be the vacuum hose that connects to the intake manifold flap controller thing. my bad don't know the name. Either that or the flaps just need to be adjusted. Either way, easy fix

Yeah I checked all the connections at the back of the SC and all were good. I read about getting the secondary air tube slightly off location. Not totally worried about it at the moment. Fix it when I do the PCV

Dont forget the dipstick mod from the earlier 3.0T so you can actually measure the oil. Part #06E115611H

The belly pan is capable of holding an astonishing amount of oil before dripping to the ground.

ValpoA7 has replaced chains somewhere over 200k.

I gutted my cats when I removed them to fix a broken flange. They were showing the beginning stages of meltdown. Single pulley for approximately 20k. (tuned/pulley at ~150k, cats gutted around 170k)

I've been stage 2 (single pulley) since about 55k, now 232k. I tow things with my A6 as well, fishing boat and utility trailer (wood, riding lawn mower, motorcycle etc) I have a fair bit of chain rattle and some oil consumption but nothing alarming. I also drive the car hard.

Biggest maintenance items for me have been

    Flex pipes
Steering wheel/column lock module (car was inoperable, tow)
Thermostat and crossover pipe & pcv stuff under the supercharger, it was leaking a lot of coolant. (tow)
Inner cv joints, aka, front axles.
    Electronic motor mounts

Oddball /annoying items over the years:
Fuel injector oring - fuel was gushing out of one (tow)
    Bunch of wheel bearings
Bunch of spark plugs, only 2 coils
Aux hvac pump, driver side wouldn't blow heat
    Factory amplifier died (non bose)
Carbon canister in fuel neck (haven't fixed yet)

I'm still on a lot of original parts
    Starter, alternator, BATTERY
Never have I serviced the transmission in any way.
    No differential services

By far the most reliable and enjoyable car I've ever owned.

I recently sold my 2012 with 206k. Had to change the pcv at around 150k and carbon cleaned it while I was in there. The car ran great for up to 200k when it started burning a little oil from the rear main seal. Repair cost wasn't worth keeping it then.

I think I have it fixed. Now to drive around and see what happens. The secondary air hose that routes past the actuator was routed too close and had a strangle hold on the actuator. Took the hose loose and moved it about 1/4 inch to free up the actuator. I was surprised to be able to access without removing the SC

I am in the 228,000 range at the moment. She just does not get driven like before. With the work commute I was logging 35,000 or more miles per year. Now I barely do 10,000 miles a year. And we take the new to us Wrangler JLU for our usual errands most of the time.

50-60k a year is like oil change every month.

@Jimingle10 that sound really nice. Just left my Q5 3.0T for upper tensioners change and I guess that is the last thing I will have to do in the near future.

Yes sir. The use of an oil extractor makes changing the oil stupid easy and quick. No need to even get under the car.

2013 A6 here that i bought January 2019 with 98k miles from a single owner. I'm now up to 169k miles with no major issues. Car does love to eat control arms even more than usual though after lowering, Bilstein b8 w/ H&R springs

I noticed this last weekend when i was replacing my front rear lower control arms. Noticed that the belly pan and lower engine components were fairly wet, although it didn't look fresh, so could be from small spills over the years too. However i am burning about 1qt every 2-3k miles. Nothing crazy, but i have already replaced the PCV and also don't see drips anywhere else. Where did you find your leak was coming from, any common areas? I guess perhaps rear main seal like a lot of other cars?

1qt every 3k miles isn't enough to warrant a red flag from my experience. Mine consumes about the same especially with a lot of spirited driving. I do get a puff of smoke at high rpm. I wouldn't say it's "normal" but it's fine.

155k miles with a stage 1 APR and no issues until a week ago. Got check engine light so I need to pull the codes and see what it is when I do my oil change. Being good weather I can have it in the garage and drive something else and take my time with whatever the issue is. I'll report back in if its something major.

230,700 miles on the 7 at the moment . My grill chrome is starting to unlaminate and I am considering a replacement grille. The question now is stock slats or RS7 honeycomb pattern. I don’t have any tech items to worry about if I swap to the honeycomb.

Or just spend the money on some more 5.56 ammo and not replace the grille

I reload so I don't have to make tough choices like this! This weekend was 6.5 Creedmoor, .223Rem and 338 Lapua Magnum. Saved a ton of $$!!

    Cheers,

Tell me more about this metal valley pan, please. Did you do that with the Merc PCV relocation kit, or does the 3.2 metal pan allow you to rerun/reconfigure things itself? Do you mean the 'regular' 3.2L V6 (vr6 is staggered inline, right? too narrow for our "v"?)

Had 168k on my 2012 A6 that was running a STG2 dual pully tune for the last 50k miles before an inconsiderate 2002 Jaguar tboned it. I regularly dogged on it and took it to a local drag strip 1-2 times a month and would do 5-6 runs a night when I did. Never had a single issue with it. Same thing with my old S4, Sold it at 170k with a stage two tune and stock heat exchanger, new owner bumped it to e40 2+ still running a stock intercooler (that had had a rock chip that was welded shut) and has put at least 10k more on it and she's still running great. Very reliable engine.

This will be my last week with my A7. Trading it in on a 2015 Maserati Ghibli with just 13,000 miles on it. Took out an extended warranty with it as well, 5 year 60,000 mile warranty.
