    2018 A5 Stage 1 Tunes

Looking at adding the APR stage 1 ECU Tune for my 2018 A5 2.0T and was curious if anyone has any real world performance insights into any of these ECU tunes. I will eventually add intake and downpipe upgrades, but wanted to start at the ECU since that is the most bang for the buck.

Does anyone run a stage 1 tune and if so what was your change in 0-60? HP and torque are cool numbers but don't really mean much to me as I don't have predetermined goals outside of off the line times. I'm at 75k miles so warranty isn't a concern either.

Looking forward to hearing other users experiences and posting more on my mod journey as I dive in.

Edit: Including that I am looking at 93 Octane tunes as I drive 110 miles a day for work so mpg is still fairly important on highway.

Butt dyno on the Plus (lower everything) tune says it's worth it and enough of a difference. Do it.

I've ridden in a MK7 GTI both with and without an ECU and I can definitely tell a difference, I just wasn't sure how it was on the A5.

There really isn’t anything else you’re going to do that is going to give you the best bang for the buck. That being said, I’ve had a few cars including my b9 sporback with apr and have been happy with all of them. I’ve had one car with revo and another with eurodyne and was happy as well. I happen to work in an Apr dealer, so that also made it easy.

Did you do any off the line testing? Just trying to get a guesstimate for 0-60 change as that's what really matters for most of us lol. Also thanks for the information, you have pretty much made my decision for me.

No, I have not. My usual statement is you’d have to be dead not to notice the difference. Lol

Update: Got the APR stage 1. Wow. I lost a slight bit (2ish) mpg when not cruising highways, but it turned my car into a blast off the line. 308HP/366Lb-ft on dyno, runs roughly 4.8-4.9's on hand timed runs (averaged 4.94 over 10 pulls). Now to start "actually" modifying everything else lol.

How do you guys feel about the extra power on this transmission… I’m hearing a lot about 0-60 times and highway pulls… I’m pretty new to the Audi family and was wondering how this 7speed dual clutch holds up
