Advices for removing perfume odor from cabin interior

    Hello,

I need your help for neutralizing a perfume odor in an Audi B8. Maybe it's not the best section but it's for this type of car.

Someone did use in the car a perfume scent and it is everywhere in the car.

Does someone has an advice to totally neutralize perfume sent ? Or a product eg. whole cabin spray mist.
I've read that you can use baking soda, white vinegar etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciate, thanks.

Should have gotten a "special service" from her as part of the purchase package.

I would expect it to be in the soft surfaces, so I'm thinking you'll need something to extract it.... I'm thinking a steam cleaner, much like a detailer would have\use

Use or rent an air ionizer. You can use a big home model one and just shut the doors. Leave it in overnight and should remove all smells.

Buy one of these, and leave it in the car for a week. Worked wonders on a car I bought that had a musty smell, also with my damp basement.

I like the product, but.... a week? My car is used almost every day, as I expect is true for many of us. Maybe the option for me (and others) would be to put it in overnight, every night, for a week or two... I could probably use one in my home office as well....

    Thanks for the link Brozee!

This is funny as hell !

Thank you all for the advice. I've been to a detailer and he said some people do come by with the same problem and that he would never use cleaning products with perfume. At the shop there is some kind of big machine that he leaves in the car to remove all sorts of odor. It could be as said here a de-ionizer. He said that the machine will leave some kind of other odor but ultimately goes after some days.

What does frighten me is that perfume is petrochemical stuff. Sometimes even mixed with silicone oils so I'm not sure a part from mechanical cleaning or chemical decay solutions how it could solve the problem.

A little feedback, tried as advised a ozone generator :

    https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B09MFQZ29Y/

Incredible ! Left it only 10 minutes to try it inside the car. Then let 1 hour the ozone to do its job then vented all the night.
Odor is absolutely NON EXISTENT now. Unbelievable. The smell was so strong I thought it would be impossible.

Thank you all so much !

Hey, I've also been there recently. Here are some tips:
First, try airing out the car by opening the windows and letting it sit for a while.
Try using baking soda or activated charcoal to absorb the odor. Sprinkle some baking soda or place some activated charcoal in a bowl in the car overnight and then vacuum it up the next day.
Another option is to use an odor-neutralizing spray specifically designed for cars. You can find these at auto supply stores or perfume stores like DecantX.
I hope these tips help you eliminate your car's perfume odor. Good luck!
