    Hey all,

Taking delivery of my 23 RS6 this week! Wondering what kind of prices y'all have been seeing for PPF, mainly XPEL, in recent days.

    Thanks,

    Eric

    Wow, those are good prices.
I paid 10k to PPF + Ceramic + Tint on a GT3 last fall. Of course at that price, car was partially disassembled.

Have two quotes for same treatment on inbound RS7, 10k there too. In Florida.

I did tint, paint correction, full Xpel Stealth, and ceramic coating all in for around $10k in Ohio. This was from a very high end shop, I'm sure there are cheaper options.

    Tint: 650
    Paint correction: 1000
    PPF: 6500
Ceramic (including two sets of wheels): 1500

I bought my car used and it had the cheapest PPF imaginable on it. We peeled it and the front bumper delaminated so taking that into account. My detailer and I have a very good relationship so these prices may be outliers.

Remove and replace PPF on full front: $2200
    Optimum OptiCoat Pro: $1000
    Bumper repaint: $1600

Great thread, I'm also interested. Any Canadians?

XPEL Ultimate Plus Full front, A-pillars, rockers, door cups and rear bumper load section for $3530CDN
    GTechniq Crystal Ultra - $1697CDN
Ceramic coat the wheels including inside barrels - $400CDN for the set.

Full PPF with XPEL Ultimate Plus was quoted at $6997CDN. - not sure if this is worth it given the lack of freeways here.

Just got my '23 RS6 11 days ago. Tint plus Xpel on front bumper, hood, front fenders, headlights, rocker panels, door cups, mirror caps, and trunk loading area was $3500 including taxes in Cincinnati, Ohio. They wanted $8k for a full Xpel stealth (satin) wrap but I decided against it.

I paid $10k for a full wrap for Dynoshield, removing mirrors, door handles etc at the highest end shop in WA state. Already with what daily life throws at a car what with kids etc, it has already paid off with multiple impacts that protected the paintwork. However there is a big 'But' to PPF especially with darker paint, when you do get the impacts/scuffs/friction rubs despite protecting the paintwork, the film where the incursion occurs looks like crap afterward which is either something you tolerate, or feel compelled spending more $$$ on replacing the film on that panel. The films whether it is Dynoshield, Ultimate etc, tend to crystallize and flake with a decent enough impact occurs, and definitely scuff with lateral friction.

$7500CDN for full stealth with some pretty serious disassembly, and this included ceramic over everything (PPF, wheels, breaks, and coating on the glass)

About 10k full xpel stealth, tint, ceramic, and paint correction. Other than the ceramic on the wheels, I would not have done ceramic. Mine is just not that easy to clean. Maybe I’m doing it wrong but it gathers dust like a swiffer and it dang near takes one to clean it off.

I did window tint + full car suntek ppf for $5500 in Seattle. They used precut templates so that's cheaper than fully cut by hand. Not the best work but it does the job. Other shops I quoted ranges from 7k to 10k.

I have a similar issue with the ceramic on my car, especially with dark paint and stealth ppf. I had this expectation that rain would magically wash all the dust away, but it just beads up in dries in little dirty polka dots. With that said, the coating makes it very easy to clean when actually washing, but I always have to dry thoroughly. For that reason, I do not regret the ceramic coating.

That is true. I don’t know how easy it would be to wash if it was just the stealth ppf on dark paint no ceramic. Wonder if anyone has tried this. I have the carbon package which have regular xpel gloss on those pieces and the water dries in to spots on it as well. And the back glass is ridiculous. Ppl who can just dry their car with a leaf blower make me jealous as hell.

8 grand here full stealth over navarra and clear on the black bits, with tint and ceramic coatings and disassembly including bumpers off.

As far as cleaning on the dark blue it’s a breeze. It does attract more dust that then clear on my other cars but a blast from the air compressor or and I hate to admit this in public a quick wipe with a magic duster and it’s clean again. I also use xpels ceramic boost for a wipe down every once in a while of if it has spots from water or bird droppings.

Same thing it does over paint: prevents contaminants from bonding to the surface and prohibits light surface scratching.

    Shouldn’t the xpel do that?

Xpel can prevent even major scratching but the ceramic give it more hydrophobic properties.

Absolutely no damage under other than the small impact spot and the was popped with paintless ding repair.

Yes, ppf protect your paint, but adding ceramic coating over the film helps protect and prolong the life of the film in addition to providing more hydrophobic properties. It is certainly not necessary, but its a relatively small addition to the overall cost of the film installation that I, at least, was willing to pay for.

XPEL Dallas just quoted me $6995 for Stealth and an extra $1200 for ceramic coating. They also said they offer a 10% discount if I’m a member of the Audi Club…anyone know anything about this? Not sure what the Audi Club is. Also, do you guys think the ceramic coating is worth it? When I asked they said its more for convenience…easier to clean. Is the stealth hard to clean? Thx

Xpel released a new PPF right after my car was completed (February) called Xpel Ultimate Fusion. The ceramic coating is essentially built in. I would have picked this option had it been available.

Hi everyone. I just picked up a 2023 RS6 last weekend and called a local shop about a ceramic coating and PPF. They quoted me $2200 for the coating and $3100 for the PPF (bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors). I didn’t think those prices were bad but now I’m wondering why they seem less expensive than others. I just emailed them to get more information on what products they use (ceramic coating and PPF). This is the first experience with ceramic coating and POF and want to make sure I’m not paying for low-quality materials. This shop has gotten a lot of great reviews, and does a lot of Porsches and Ferraris, so hopefully the products are top tier.

It’s cheaper because you aren’t doing the entire car.

I'm paying $6995 +tax after some minor negotiation for a full Xpel Ultimate Plus. I'm choosing to do the ceramic on top myself.

Everyone also needs to remember that there is a big price difference between precut and full custom PPF. Like everything in life, you get what you pay for.

Had it done at All in detailings - check their instagram for some pics of mine and other RS6s (they have done lots of them - Mike sent me detailed pics of 4-5 prior ones he did).

It is perfect (7 months on now) - can’t tell from any distance that it is stealth PPF vs matte paint. Can’t see any seams or areas where there is a gap - so many other shops I saw were close but you could still see areas around edges, lights, or windows where it was close but not perfect.

    Would 100% use them again.

Which one is yours? I definitely saw a few! I think I only saw 2 stealth, the Daytona Grey? I’m getting Sebring Black Crystal, not sure it’ll worth with stealth, but I love it on Daytona, actually on most greys.
