Hello all, this will be my first of probably many posts. I hope to learn some good information here!

I am looking at purchasing a 2012 Audi A8 L Quattro with the 4.2 V8 engine. I inquired the dealer to send me the vehicle history report and service records, they have yet to do so but the car appears to be in good condition and well kept. Only one previous owner, too. Dealers can do wonders with photos though, and I don't have a chance to see the car in person until Friday (writing this only Monday morning ) The mileage is quite high, just over 150,000 miles, that's the part that raises my attention

I've heard very mixed things about the 4.2, such as oil consumption and timing chain failures being common, yet others claim they are reliable as long as you stay on top of maintenance. I've also heard that they don't take mods too well, but coming from a 93 Miata to (potentially) this A8 I'll be more than satisfied with the stock power levels.

I'm not sure how much this matters, but the dealer is asking 12k for the car but is willing to negotiate. I will also put the listing in this post.
