I had a 2021 Glacier SQ5, great car, loved the paint color. Looking at the Audi USA build site, it says red calipers are on the Comp Package so I’d expect that. I had red calipers on my SQ and they looked great with the white. If you get the boat info from your dealer you’ll be able to track your car in real time. I tracked mine from the instant it left Emden to Columbia, Panama Canal, Ecuador, Mexico and finally San Diego. My car has been to more countries than I. I took many screen shots of its journey.

Thanks, I actually just noticed that too on the build guide. I tracked my BMWs and while fun also builds more anxiety lol. My car is already landed according to the dealer just waiting to be delivered at the dealer. Now just crossing my fingers a job offer comes before they call me. Will help with the conversation with the wife.
I’m also now wondering with the state of the economy especially in NorCal where I am if I can get the dealer below MSRP. Beverly Hills audi has been calling me nonstop for over two weeks trying to sell me their Comp, I’m guessing the market isn’t as hot as it once was and people just don’t want to pay over MSRP for one of these. I forgot what they wanted over MSRP but I remember being shocked.

When I was shopping for my car I contacted no less than 10 dealers in So Cal. Beverly Hills instantly turned me off when the salesman laughed at me when I told him I wouldn’t spend a dime over sticker. Escondido was fantastic to work with, didn’t play any stupid games and the agreed MSRP price never changed from order to delivery. Santa Monica actually had two cars at the spec I wanted but they also wouldn’t budge on anything under a 5k mark-up.

Audi of Beaverton, OR has a Nardo Gray '23 RS5 S/B w/Comp Pack, Nav, Side Assist, & RS Assist Pack sitting on their showroom floor for MSRP. Speak with Christian if your interested.

I placed an order with them for an Ascari Blue '23 RS5 Coupe with the same options going through production right now.

Figured I would add my build. Was able to find an allocation in December. Unfortunately the build was already locked but had all the options I wanted just not my first choice in color. Signed and paid deposit for my MSRP allocation on 12/9, lost my job 12/12 funny how the world works.

That is exactly what I ordered 9/29/22. It’s in production now with delivery ETA 4/28-5/18. The wait is starting to drive me crazy.

This is the first time I have ever taken a pre built allocation, which randomly came up for the dealer as I kept bugging my friend who works there on if they were getting a comp. One day he finally said they had one so I took it. All my custom orders were 6-12 months out where this one was 3~4 and is actually running early. Original date was end of March.

Because your build was already locked and in queue at the factory. What takes the longest time is wait for the car to actually receive a production date. Lots of people have had them pushed out several times. Once the car is in queue to be built, the process happens fairly quickly.

Right, so either the dealer/my friend was missing the allocation every time they looked, or Audi randomly had a free comp in line and assigned it to the dealer. Can’t complain just seemed a bit weird, and the one time I want a car to run late it’s early go figure.

It's possible that someone backed out/cancelled their order at the dealer and they chose to keep the allocation and build. I got tired of waiting and cancelled my order but my buddy who is the salesguy told me they were keeping it since RS allocation is pretty hard to especially here in Canada.

Sorry for the "dumb" question, but how do you find out which ship your car is on and how do you track it?

I got the ship number from my salesman then after a little of research online was able to determine the ship name. I used “Marine Traffic” to then follow its journey. I just signed up online and it was free.

Your dealer will be able to provide the Vessel number. Mine is 633 for example. After that I just searched on Google "Audi Vessel 633" and quickly found that it was Sunshine Ace. I use Vessel Finder to track but Marine Traffic is another great one. https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/details/9338852

Heard back from my dealer today, my car is on the San Martin that departed Halifax yesterday bound for Jacksonville, and then Houston I suppose... I've got another 3-5 weeks they think.

I'll bet my car is on that ship, it shows on the dealer's website as in route from the factory. I cancelled the order back in November when I bought my 2019, but it's still my baby in a way LOL.

Yeah, the changes to the production week changed on both of ours simultaneously, so I would be surprised if the one you ordered WASN'T on that ship.

The vessel number is 608 - Cassiopeia Leader
My delivery ETA was moved up to 4/03 - 4/13

Nice, your wait is almost over!

Well, somewhere along the line mine seems to have been lost. Last Wednesday I was told it was at the port and should be at the dealer that weekend (I doubted it). Fast forward to this week, still no word from my sales guy after trying to get me to the dealer last weekend and this week he has ghosted me.

Finally called my friend in finance who pulled the car up, said its at port but in customs so probably going to be there a little while longer. Highly unfortunate as I was going to take it to 034 Motorsports Winterfest but guess not. The wait is now killing me since my other vehicle today decided it wanted to start raining inside.

I would think so. Mine never did come up on my dealers web page throughout the entire order and delivery process. I kept watching for it. I’m not sure if that info is self- generated or not. I would think the dealerships like having it on their site as advertising to get people to come in and/or just in case the original buyer backed out.

If a car is marked as sold it shouldn’t be on the website. Even though mine was a dealer order, as soon as they marked it as customer ordered/sold it was removed (granted that Audi driven what individual dealers do is up to them)

Did you get the Side Assist, Nav and RS Drivers Assist packages too? If so then they will be exactly the same.

Yeah fully loaded, even has the floor mats… dealer had spec’d the car originally. Regardless we can drive the hills. I try to get up there when I can and also take photos up there.

Only option I skipped was the rear side airbags.
Only Port Installed option I got was Audi Guard Protection Kit (all the all-weather mats and cargo mat).

Correction now that I saw the car I too don’t have the side airbag. I also have the all weather mats but no cargo mat.

So, the car is at the dealer, with the chrome rings instead of the black ones. Its a port installed option so having the dealer handle it is not a problem... I was considering whether or not a blue/Black Optic Carbon car might need a little chrome to make it pop. We'll see what it looks like in person before making a decision.

I'm simultaneously excited about the RS5 and a little sad that my S3 will be leaving my care... I hope the next owner takes good care of it.

Must be the Navarra Blue Coupe at South Austin. My RS5 SB is almost to South Austin as well! Hope its as quick getting to the dealer as yours was! Congrats!
