Very true, I wouldn't actually be tracking the car so I'm good without ceramics. The adjustable suspension is my main draw and the increased exhaust and engine noise. After tuning my cars for so many years and flashing back and forth between stock and tune, I feel like it would be nice to roll in not worried about warranty etc but with a car that is lowered and has the carbon aero bits.

I signed last night on a 2023 X3 M Competition. They had a couple in the showroom. Really wanted to take advantage of the equity in my RS3 now instead of waiting for middle of next year at best. It's not as good looking as the RS5 SB but it does a lot of things really well. I managed a discount as well off MSRP. My first BMW afer 7 Audis and a few VWs.

It's not like many are buying either one of these cars for fuel mileage. They are "excess vehicles". You have to pay to play.

I give more than zero but coming from a tuned RS3 to the RS5 was going to be an change anyways. The X3M will be another incremental change. From what I've been reading on it, the observed economy is better than the published figures so we'll see.

I noticed yesterday the base price of the RS5 sportback jumped $2k on Audis website. I wonder if the cars that have been on order for months but not delivered yet will be affected by this price increase. Its only $2k but still annoying. I know personally mine was supposed to be 82,595 but now builds out to 84,595.

Yeah, let's be honest. Cars like the M3 and RS5 are not being marketed to people who are looking to save money or be frugal.

For those of you watching the Audiusa website, Audi of Modesto has an Ascari Blue '23 RS5 S/B w/Competition Package that is currently "In Transit":

    https://www.audimodesto.com/new/Audi...33142c1e15.htm

    Shows an ADM of $8k.

I've only seen one other RS5 w/Comp Package (about a month ago) show up in Arizona, and it was gone from inventory in a matter of days.

My sales guy had mentioned a month ago that a 1.5% increase was coming but they would honour the original price (and rates). What could be problematic is if you do not make allocation and build for 2023, then they may need you to order a 2024 at the new price. Basically happened to me as I had a 2022 on order and since Jan 22, and I even had allocation but didn't get to build. I had to re-order a 2023.

Got a build date finally and some other dates.

Ordered Jan 15, 2022, Factory Accepted Aug 24, 2022, Build date Apr 24, 2023. I would expect late May to late June delivery based on others trends.

Painful wait for an Audi Exclusive colour since I could go on the lot and buy the standard package now...

X3M is a little beast !!! One thing I have learned after owning 3 high Performance SUVs, however, is that you need to budget a boatload for brake and tires. When you build heavy vehicles to have performance capabilities, they will eat through pads, rotors and tires.

Not much in Canada unless you want a coupe. There are a lot of them available, but it's not surprising.

    Well, as the world turns...

My original order for the '23 RS5 Coupe w/Comp Pack, Side Assist, Nav, RS Driver Assist, and Black Roof still hasn't been accepted by the factory, and I spoke with another dealer, who looked up the order, and told me that with the way the schedules are looking, I wouldn't see it until August 2023, at the earliest.

I was able to find a different dealer with the exact color and configuration with an expected delivery date in February 2023, so I'm going with Plan "B". The Plan "B" vehicle was also accepted by the factory before the price increase, so definitely an added bonus.

Congrats on the order. One thing you may want to consider, however. One of the biggest costs associated with the Comp pkg are the wheels. The OEM wheels in the Comp pkg are fully forged and are some of the lightest wheels you can get. I also think they look amazing, but that is a personal thing. The Vossen wheels you have coming will be significantly heavier. They are not forged and you just don't need 10.5" wide wheels on this car.

Your car, your money, but you are choosing to spend big bucks for that Comp package, so why add back so much weight at the wheels.

I hope none of you are paying ADM anymore. The car market has gone down in the past 2 months now. I see RS5's with the Competition package at MSRP and it's just sitting there. WOuldn't be surprised if they even discount them if it sits. I see 3-4 RS5's Competition Package and has been sitting at MSRP in the past 2 weeks. No one is buying them even at MSRP prices.

Interest Rates are going up again and curb inflation so wouldn't be surprised if the car prices will drop some more next month. The increase in Interest rates has really cooled down the housing and car markets that's for sure!!!

Nope, no ADM with my deal or add-ons, except a $150 doc fee.

On the West Coast, WA state dealers didn't have allocations, CA dealers are still drinking the koolaid ('23's at $8-15k ADM!!!). I went south to find a dealer with an order already "in-transit from the factory". I accepted paying MSRP so I could get a '23 in early '23 that was to my exact spec.

On the West Coast, WA state dealers didn't have allocations, CA dealers are still drinking the koolaid ('23's at $8-15k ADM!!!). I went south to find a dealer with an order already "in-transit from the factory". I accepted paying MSRP (at pre-price increase) so I could get a '23 in early '23 that was to my exact spec.
I guess there are too many rich people in Cali that is still willing to pay ADM prices lol!!!

Interest Rates are going up again and curb inflation so wouldn't be surprised if the car prices will drop some more next month. The increase in Interest rates has really cooled down the housing and car markets that's for sure!!!
I wouldn't say nobody is buying them at MSRP. There is only one Competition Sportback (Sportbacks sell easier than the coupes) in all of Canada available right now. It's in Winnipeg...it doesn't have the carbon ceramics, is the standard black color, and is $118k. That's why it's sitting on the lot. Call around to any other dealers, and all incoming Comp models with different colors, and the ceramics are all spoken for.

There is 4 Competition package in the market in Canada right now and 3 has been sitting for over 2-3 weeks now. Priced between $110K to 118K depending on the options that was added in there.

There's one Sportback and one Coupe (sold new from Audi) in all of Canada. Neither have the ceramic brakes which I'm assuming someone who is looking for the Competition package would be looking for. Both located in small markets (Saskatchewan and Winnipeg), in the winter, and both listing for $114k+. Even when the market was crazy, I would have expected these to sit.

I know personally mine was supposed to be 82,595 but now builds out to 84,595.
I have discovered that unless your name is tied to sold order prior to the price increase, any existing orders placed by the dealerships are subject to the $2k MSRP increase once the order is placed in your name.

I talked to my salesman last week. My car shows in transit on the website for 84,595 but he says in the Audi system he still shows it with an MSRP of 82,595 so that will be honored.

I recently transferred my lease on an S5 SB and was in a pinch for a car, luckily found a low option 2023 Sebring Black RS5 SB with the new Competition Package sitting at a dealer out of town. Flew out to pick it up and drove back on the Pirelli's before swapping to winters. Car only had Comp package and red brake calibers. Comp wheels look the business.

Nice congrats and just curious if the Competition package comes with the dynamic ride control as it is weird that you can still choose that option after you select the Competition package?

No you can't. As soon as you select the Audi Sport Package (includes Dynamic Ride Control), it will make you remove the Competition Package.
