I've had SQ5 21" wheels (top in pic) on my S6 for a while now and although it looks really nice, part of me keeps thinking they are too big for the S6 and wish they came in 20". Curious to see what others think? Real world problems right? lol

A bit big for my liking.....but then I again prioritize ride comfort. The ride with those must be terrible

IMO, 20" is the perfect size for the S6.. anything else (larger or smaller) looks out of proportion to the body size.

21’s with 265/30’s here in NH and they ride great. Certainly can feel more of the road impurities, but they handle like a dream. Not as “plush/soft” of a ride as 20’s, but 20’s don’t feel as crisp and have as much direct feel with the road when doing some spirited driving.

I would argue any "feeling" comes from the tires and has nothing to do with the circumference of the wheel.

    21's are the WHIP boiiii!!!

    I run a 285/30/21, factory RS7 wheels on my A6.

They ride the same or better than the 255/35/20 did on the car since the sidewall is basically the same and I am running a slightly wider tire than ideal on the wheel.

I’ve got a set of ADV.1 ADV10s in 21x10 in S6 fitment for anyone looking. rears are more concave that front, specifically built for C7/C7.5 A6/S6. Comes with tires.

The tire has a lot to do with it, but what about the tire can aide and/or change the ride comfort and handling characteristics, which is a “feeling”?

I’ll take that answer… a larger circumference wheel requires a lower-profile tire in most cases, with a stiffer sidewall, which in turn changes the ride comfort and handling characteristics of the car, essentially changing the feel you get as the driver. 21” wheels are typically also heavier, which can change the aspects previously mentioned.

So my observation from driving around today - on 20's the ride is quite bouncy in dynamic mode, whereas, on 21's the ride is smoother and feels more planted. Both sets have Michelin PS4s 255/35ZR20 vs 265/30/ZR21. Based on the ride quality you'd think that 21's came default on this luxury car.

I went to 20s when I moved away from stock wheels. Way better ride quality for the C7 platform imo. Dallas roads were killing me with the 21s.

Really not that much more… $30-50/tire difference for the same width, same brand, different aspect ratio.

We discussed this in the group chat....

Your Michelin are way more expensive than what I am running.
