What torque spec do you all have with aftermarket wheels with cone lug bolts?

I just run a standard 90lb-ft torque. The bolts aren't any bigger than factory bolts. Go for a good drive around town to heat cycle and retorque again after a cool down if you're installing new hardware/wheels.

I go to whatever feels snug with my 18" 1/2" drive ratchet.

It doesn't change for different lug seats. Just make sure you have the correct lug bolts for the lug seats in the wheels, then use the proper torque spec for the car, 120 Nm (89 ft-lbs) in this case.

105 (footies) is my failsafe on eurotrash.

Havent had one fall off in 20 years, or ever.

I think the vag spec is like 100 ft/lbs give or take 10lbs

    Stud/or bolt size changes...

It's 120 Nm (88.5 ft-lbs) for the B8 A4/A5, B9 A4/A5, C6 A6, and C7 A6/A7. Appears it's the same generally for all the cars, according to this site. Would have to confirm in the owner's manual or the Maintenance Procedures workshop manual, technically.

The SUVs bump it up. 140 Nm (103.25 ft-lbs) for the smaller ones (Q3, Q5); 160 Nm (118.0 ft-lbs) for the larger ones (Q7, Q8).

    It's 100 ft lbs (140 Nm) for the Q5 / SQ5. It's on page 356 of the 2018 manual.
