APR ECU mod finally available!

I am thrilled to share the news that APR (goapr.com) has finally come out with the ECU mod for the C8 A6!! I had mine installed a week ago and it makes a HUGE difference! I did the same ECU mod from APR to my '12 A6 and never once had any problems with the vehicle.

Short list of improvements: Stock hp: 335, After mod: 401, a 20% increase! / Stock torque: 369 ft lbs, After mod: 517 ft lbs, a 40% increase! / Disable Auto Start-Stop function (Heavenly!) / Dashboard graphics show the gear you're in

How's the bottom end feel after the tune? Say 3rd gear ~3,000 RPM? Stock, the EA839 in these cars just doesn't like being under 4K RPM it seems.

It's a significant improvement over stock! 3rd gear @ 3K has huge pull, no lag. Feels like a muscle car, it's a blast!

Did your A6 get a TCU tune at the same time as the ECU tune? I just got the ECU tune on my A7 C8 and it doesn't show the gear like it does in your picture. I called APR and support said that they think that only shows up if you do a TCU tune, and that the ECU tune has no effect on those gauges.

I just spoke with Achtuning in Redmond, WA who did the install, they said it was just the ECU tune. He said APR has no TCU tunes available for the C8.

That only works on certain ECUs...The 2.9 tune here doesn't work on ECUs after (approx) Jan 2022 since MG1 closed the door with a software update.

We're all waiting impatiently.
