Hello and good day fellow enthusiasts,

I hope that this thread finds you all well.

My wife and I are thinking of replacing our 2018 Q7 with a 2022. As part of my research I'm trying to learn about the reliability of the newer 48v mild hybrid system.

Are there any owners out there that has faced reliability issues with the starter/generator/belt driven component? Any issues with the 48v battery? System integration related software glitches?

I would greatly appreciate it if you can provide the mileage, trim and year of your vehicle when providing feedback.

Thank you in advance for your time.

This is something I worried about also since on the SQ8 w/S Sport it primarily operates the active stability control system, but after 1.5 years and ~10k miles, it pretty much works as advertised.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I think the only true measurement of performance/reliability will show only as vehicles approach and surpass the 100k mileage range.

I think that I should post a link to this thread in the A8 and A6 sub-forum since i believe those models received the system even before the Q7/Q8/SQ models. In theory those cars should have accumulated more mileage and duration of use.
