Leaving pcv regular valve performance P052E00 unrepaired?

I don't burn oil , I get rough idle once in awhile and same goes for getting the MIL on dash .
    Can I leave this unrepaired . What are the consequences?2016 b8.5 3.0t

May not burn oil but may start blowing seals out from positive crank pressure

if you look at the pcv while its on the car, you'll see a round capsule sitting on top. break the old lid off, pull the old one and put the new one on with the new pcv cap.

yes, its under the sc. The pcv has a plastic circle cap. remove that to replace the diaphram.

Think your code is for the check valve in the breather tube that connects the pcv to the intake.

Changing the diaphram probably good if its the original pcv, but likely need this part to solve your issue.

Would you notice any coolant loss with this code? (I have this code and will replace the solenoid, but I do see a tiny bit of coolant loss (pcv etc was replaced last year))

I had this code return after the PCV was replaced by the dealer I bought it from, and then again after I changed the breather solenoid line mentioned above. The crankcase pressure was in spec when checking it with a gauge. I'm not the type who can ignore the car has a code, it drives me up a wall. So after taking it apart a third time I pulled the PCV diaphragm apart and blew the PCV unit out thoroughly with shop air and non chlorinated brake parts cleaner in case any debris was lodged inside. Now 3 weeks later the code hasn't returned. The only thing I can think of is I noticed the dealer didn't vacuum the engine valley and there was a bunch of leaf bits and road dirt trapped under the PCV and intake gaskets, very sloppy work, and maybe some of that got into the PCV itself and clogged a passage or jammed one of the little drain valves in the cyclone traps. Either that or maybe there was some casting flash in there that the air dislodged.

My guess it was a solenoid valve the whole time we experiencing any oil loss before the PCV valve change

I just changed my breather check valve this past weekend - my pcv was changed at my indy shop about 8K miles ago but the breather valve isn’t part of the pcv replacement on the B8.5s as it is on the B8s. The code has yet to come back and all went well with my vacuum filler for replacing the coolant. Overall not too bad if a job if you have time, patience and the tools. If you’re only changing the breather valve like I did, then I suggest you guys grab the doorman help variety pack of 8 spring clamp clips for connecting the breather line to the pcv over the ear style clamp Audi uses.

Yes. The blower needs to be removed to access that hose.

Yes the supercharger has to come off but thankfully we’re in our October warm spell here in Buffalo with temps in the upper 60s/lower 70s, because I was able to do it all in the driveway.

I took advantage of our wny second summer this weekend and did my injectors and changed my pcv diaphragm. Never heard of changing this breather valve. Would that possibly resolve my oil consumption issue? I changed my pcv almost 2 years ago and it didn't have any effect. My car eats a quart every 1000-1500 miles.

I’m under the impression that it can lead to oil consumption, but I honestly have had very little oil consumption in my car, maybe a 1/4 of liter between my 5k oil changes. I did this to get rid of the code and to avoid any issues with my crankcase pressure/main seals. If I understand correctly, you have a different pcv and a different looking hose in this spot for a B8 vs a B8.5. In my research and discussion with a buddy that’s also a member here I came to realize that some of the replacement kits for the B8s have the hose in question while I’ve yet to see a kit for the B8.5s with the appropriate hose.

I believe you’d be looking for this style

I replaced mines recently as well, to eliminate the code. I had somewhat of a rough idle when the code was present. However, I did not clamp it down, I hope it stays put...lol

I will be changing the pcv and the breather hose after next week. Have to order the parts and leave the car at the shop.

I did my pcv (oem) in may or june of 2020 and did not do the hose. Did not fix my oil consuption. Car also developed occasional smoke on deceleration. 1000-1500 miles before I needed to add a quart.

Did oem pcv again in August 22 with the breather hose (along with carbon clean and a bunch of other work) and my consumption appears resolved. Occasional smoke gone as well. 1500+ miles and still reads full on mmi and dipstick.
