Is this even close to fitting a TTRS?

If it's like the one for the old generation the diameter piping isnt much bigger than stock and the muffler section was the only titanium piece, so more savings could be had by other systems like JJT, Boost logic, STM etc with more flow.

The inlet doesnt need to be bigger, its the outlet pipes which were 2.5" true diameter on both sides which is exactly enough to match a 3.5" feed pipe's flow. Question is how much better the internals were designed or not to permit that flow besides pipe size, and nobody is chopping up Akra exhausts to find out. Others do flow better but with tons of drone, especially Boost Logic.

Yeah drone is slightly subjective but yes have 3 friends now locally with Boost logic, my JJT doesn't drone really as it has a Helmholtz pipe to eliminate that certain frequency which seems to work quite well. Exhaust is new to me but other's have the titanium exhaust and seem to love it.

Helmholtz is active against a frequency range IIRC - It'd be nice to see what frequency BL is aiming to cancel for the DAZA. Was it stock, was it with bolt ons, E85 or a hybrid turbo? All changes the sound. I also don't expect them to measure everything.

Agreed. I had a 370z with a muffler delete, two x-pipe resonators and two 28" custom side branch resonators before the tips which worked wonderfully in the 2000rpm range, but it became dramatically louder outside of its effective range, around 2500-2600rpms on the top end. Did the job for sure since that was where the drone was centered, we tuned the tube length like a tuba with clamps before welding down a final length. Point being, one size/length doesnt fit all, the mods and pipe length/design will change the effective drone frequency.

The JJT exhaust doesnt look like Titanium (no blueing/etc in hot areas) from their Instagram pics. Did you get the exhaust in the pic below, and if so, in titanium or stainless? Would love to hear some clips!

Yes that's the exhaust. and it is titanium for sure. I'm working on clips etc, just had surgery on back and I needed to fine tune some fitment etc with my custom mid pipes I'm still working on.

Awesome, didnt know this was Ti. Is there any noticeable drone, and did you weight the stock vs this exhaust by chance?

I didn't weigh stock as we forgot but the JJT TI is 22lbs from what we weighed it at.

Nels, yes it sticks out a bit and can be modified/adjusted which I am doing to mine as well, easy adjustment.

Both of these sounded way better than the Akropovic. Any Akropovic I've heard previously (Heard one in person with an Evolution X) seem to only really sound good if you have a ton of mods behind them. On a stock car I think Akropovik's just don't bring enough sound to the table to be worth the price of admission.

    Now these two above?

    Wow. Those are amazing.

Just do Boost Logic. Had mine for four months and am more than happy with it. Wife DD's it and never complains in D/comfort. Drone is easily avoidable in S/dynamic based on rpm range and load. No different than driving a cammed LS and avoiding minimal surge, so it doesn't bother me.

All I'm saying, as a new member and complete unknown to all of you - you should band together and buy / ship me that Provocateur or Grail exhaust as a 'welcome to the community' sort of thing.

TTRS isnt a "race car" to me, so I want the drone completely gone. Easy to do with a stainless system, just use two Corsa universal mufflers on the AWE Track exhaust. Zero drone. However, im looking to drop weight and titanium and stainless dont play nicely together (plus it makes the weight reduction partially redundant). My catless 19 ZL1 with longtubes has zero drone but screams like a banshee at WOT thx to the Corsa mufflers. Exactly my style.
