I'm having an issue when using the climate control. On longer trips, using automatic climate control, the cabin reaches its desired temperature. But after about 20-30 minutes after being at the desired temp, the driver's side vents (middle left and far left) start blowing out room (ish) temperature air. (In the summer using the air conditioning it will start to blow out warm air, and in the winter, it will blow out cool air.) This happens whether or not I use the air conditioner. This is an odd issue, because it only happens to the driver's side and not the passengers side vents.
Today I had to drive for 3+ hours to go somewhere. It was hot outside, I set the cabin temp to 68 on AUTO. The pass. side was synced to the driver's side. The cabin got down to 68, and then after about 20ish minutes my side started blowing warm air. And it will keep doing that unless you intervene. Lowering the temp to 67, 66, or all the way down to 60 changed nothing. Putting it on LO bypasses the temp sensor and just goes full cold. This issue is really annoying because sometimes putting it on LO won't get the a/c blow cold it just runs the blower motor up.
The cause of this problem could be a number of things. Servo motor, interior temp. sensors, climate control panel, low freon level, or something else. I replaced both interior temp thermistors behind the radio and that hasn't changed anything. If anyone thinks they know why this is happening, please reply. Cheers.
