Here's a chance for someone to buy a tastefully modded and an almost finished B5 1.8t big turbo project that only needs a few finishing touches to get on the road!

    -2001 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro
    -5-speed manual
    -137k miles
    -Salvage title
    -VIN # WAUDC68D21A125707
-Located in Cameron Park, CA (30 miles east of Sacramento)
    -$14000 or best offer

I bought it at a salvage auction about 8 years ago with a pretty minor damage to front passenger door and fender (unfortunately I can't find the pictures of the damage). It was an easy repair, and I did all the body modifications before getting the car repainted. Goal was to not make the car look overly modded, but still stand out. The repaint is a factory color and is pretty good quality.

Interior was upgraded to S4 seats and headliner which I bought used and they have a few wrinkles and light scuffs from typical use and age, and a few sagging spots on the headliner. The Navi unit is an older model but still works and has bluetooth and satellite radio. Everything has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed.

I've done a lot of test fitting the wheels and using the appropriate spacers and lug bolts to get a nice stance. Ride height can be easily adjusted with the ST coilovers. I've sourced a big brake kit using Porsche Boxster calipers at the front and S4 calipers at the rear, as well as bigger rotors.

As far as power gain, I wanted to build something that's got a good punch yet streetable, which is why I went with the GT2871r turbo kit. With proper tuning it should be able to make up to 450hp or so. IE rods were installed to be able to handle that power. Nearly every seal and gasket on the engine was replaced in the rebuild process, as well as lots of new and upgraded parts. Transmission is a factory 5 speed with a stage 3 clutch and short shifter.

I've invested a lot of thought and money into this project, there's over $17k in upgrades and new parts, as well as a lot of thought out details that a new owner will appreciate. I spent about 3 years since I bought the car sourcing parts and building, but unfortunately came to a halt about 5 years ago due to other projects, getting married, buying a house, having kids.

There's not much that still needs to be done, majorly it needs to get tuned. I do have a base file from Eurodyne installed which is as close as it will get from a base map for the mods that are there. The boost and fuel pressure will also need to be adjusted. Engine seems to run fairly smooth but definitely needs to be dialed in. I wanted to learn to tune when I bought the car, but now I don't have time to either learn it or take it to someone who can tune it for me (couldn't find anyone local to do it for me).

Also when exhaust was installed, it was hanging a bit low to the ground where the cutout was installed. I've since modified the body to make space for the cutout to fit, but have not gotten to getting the exhaust repositioned and the heat shield installed, so that's another thing that needs to be done.

I have the car registered in my name, it's currently on non-op status. Will definitely NOT pass CA emissions, buyer will need to figure that out. I do have a box full of oem parts to make it "legal" so I can include that with the car. Car is able to start and drive, but due to the tuning issue I wouldn't run it for long, and it will definitely need to be towed to it's new home.

Beautiful car, GLWS! My buddy just sold my old big turbo B6 for $12k so I'm betting you can get close to asking!
