What oil and weight is everyone using?

Of course our cars take the vw 508 spec oil.

I personally used the Liqui Moly TOP TEC 6200 0W20 previously on my B9 S4.

I have the Audi Care on my B9 S5 so I just let the dealer do it.

I'm running the Stage 2 034. Thinking about going Stage 3 with the TTE.

Anyone running thicker oil because of Stage 2 or 3?

I burn maybe around 250ml in-between my oil changes.

    5W30 perhaps?
    5W40?

I saw on a YouTube video comment by the EPL guys they run Liqui Moly 5W40 on their Stage 3 S4.

    Thoughts?

"Of course our cars take the vw 508 spec oil." Not entirely.

    B9 A5 2.0T "40" (b-cycle) - 508 0w20
    B9 A5 2.0T "45" (evo) - 504 0w30, replacing previous 504 5w30, replacing previous 502 5w40
    B9 S5 3.0T "55" - 508 0w20
    B9 RS5 2.9T - 504 0w30, replacing previous 504 5w30, replacing previous 502 5w40

The engines with 508 have oil pump design and other considerations built around expecting 508 0w20.

So if you're going against spec, at least have a approach to assess oil quality over time.

I meant specific to the B9 S5. Sorry should have been clearer.

What oil and weight is everyone using on their B9 S5.

    Summer 5w-30.
    Every other time 0w-20.

I use Motul because I track all of my cars but Liqui.Moly has never let me down either. I don't think oil Temps will be that greatly affected even on "stage 3". Iwas running my TTE710 for over a year switching between both oil weights at race events and spirited driving and couldn't feel the difference.

I think I'll do the same. Go the 5W30 during the summer. Thanks for the input.
