Ok, that’s my best Doug Demuro impression, but in all seriousness, it’s time for me to put my daily project car up for sale. I have 2 other cars which are also works in progress and I just don’t have the time or space (or even the time to drive) a 3rd. I saw this car last year and immediately fell in love with the spec and scooped it up and had it shipped cross country from California, in short:
2013 B8.5 S4 Premium Plus
Manual Transmission
Sports Differential
B&O Sound System
Audi Advanced Key
Black Napa Interior
Rare OEM Gloss Black MMI / Center Console
Rare Volcano Red Exterior color
89,200 miles
When I purchased the car, she needed a bit of work. Mainly a new clutch and an exterior refresh (the rear diffuser and front grille had taken a bump or two and needed to be replaced). The car already had a Stage 1 034 Motorsports ECU tune, an ECS intake and fresh slotted rotors/EBC yellow pads. As I had fully intended on holding onto this gem I decided to invest in the best clutch in the market for our cars, a Ringer Racing Stage 3 clutch w/ Billet Steel Flywheel (currently at about 800 miles and feels 99% broken in). The clutch is every bit as good as everyone says it is; it's not heavy at all, engagement is as smooth as OEM and it holds the power.
While the transmission was out we also addressed any leaks that had developed including resealing the upper timing cover and the oil filter housing as well as a new rear main seal and shaft center bearing. Lastly as the car had 89k miles, so I also took the oppurtunity to have the cats removed and replaced with CAP 3.0 test pipes which I had ceramic coated both inside and out, to keep the car sounding (and smelling) stock we also installed JHM baffled and catted down pipes. Lastly we also installed a Eurocode Alu Kreuz Billet Aluminum Drivetrain and JXB Driveshaft stabilizers.
Mechanically, the car needs absolutely nothing and is ready to either enjoy as-is or continue to build it further.
Lastly, as far as exterior mods:
New Black mesh front center and fog light grilles
New ECS Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser
New Carbon Imports Low Kick Carbon Fiber Spoiler
Titan7 T-S5 Forged Monoblock Wheels in 19x9.5 ET45 wrapped in 265/35/19 Michelin PIlot Sport 4s tires (less than 500 miles on this setup)
Aluminum mirrors and window trim professionally wrapped in gloss black
I also have a winter set of 4 S5 Rotor wheels wrapped in the new Michelin Pilot Alpin 5’s with 1 season on them I will include as an option.
Condition
Exterior: 8.5
The car was never PPF’d, so there are rock chips and the typical wear and tear you would see on a 9 year old car, but overall in great shape. If I had kept her I would have invested in repraying the hood and front bumper, PPF’d them and called it a day. But I am also extremely OCD, she really is in really good shape as the pictures will show.
Interior: 9.5
The Interior is in excellent shape. The napa seats have no tears, discoloration or wearing and smell amazing still. The gloss black center could use a mild polish but I am nit picking at this point.
