Merlin Purple RS6 in Dealer Inventory

Ok, who ordered this! No way a dealer would order this for inventory. Hell, I had to put down 50% deposit on an RS4 just for sunroof delete back in 2007.

My guess is that this was a customer order that was never picked up, but if someone wants a unique RS6 this dealer has one for sale.

I also like the certainly in their disclaimer, it does not say that the price “might be higher” but “WILL be higher”.

Welcome to California’s culture of dealer greed! Absent of consideration for customer loyalty or experience…in favor of any added premium they can obtain. Its obnoxious and pretty pervasive across the West Coast…and why I gratefully discovered, ordered and bought my 22’ RS6 in South Carolina (+1 for Roger and Kaitlyn).

My local Audi dealer (not McKenna) - who I’d purchased multiple new Audi’s from and loyally committed all service needs too for almost a decade…will never see or earn a $ from my RS6.

Didn’t that car wind up getting trashed? There was a red one on YouTube that was tested by a couple of channels and the wound up getting seriously damaged. May be a different car.

I called on it this morning. They are at 50K markup now. Such a disappointment.

I called today and they mentioned the $50,000 ADM. I couldn't help but start laughing and ask who their plug was, because they were selling some good shit apparently.








They hung up on me :(

We can all do our little bit to stop accepting such price-gouging. Yes the market allows it, but we are the market. There are two dealers close to me who both have/had significant ADM on their RS6s and I chose to end my prior relationship with one of them over this (future purchasing/servicing) and eventually found a a dealer 1 hour away, out of state who agreed to sell at MSRP straight away. Even better, just found an interesting crowd-sourcing experiment- http://https://markups.org/ Some Audis on there already
