2018 Q5/SQ5 cargo space

Hi guys,

Looking to add a vehicle that will be able to do a bit more hauling than the RS3 or Z06 haha. I have a question. Everywhere I look I see the Q5/SQ5 have around 53-54 cubic feet of storage space with the seats down. That doesn't do me any good because I am looking for the actual dimensions and I am terrible at math! I am starting to do some updates on my house and recently was in Home Depot looking at interior doors. Will a standard 80x32x1.5 door fit back there? I'm assuming so but wanted to check. I know its kind of a strange question, but I'm justifying this purchase as I can use the utility of a slightly larger vehicle and not have to buy a full size truck like a Sierra. Thanks!

A door isn't going to fit with the hatch closed.

Just rent a truck when you need one.

It won’t fit, have a Q5 and an Atlas and doing a whole house renovation. You’ll need a truck or a work van to haul.

It’s a little over 5’ from back of driver seat to rear hatch.

We have '18 SQ5 and Q7 and Q7 does all the hauling. SQ5 is too small of a car. Like someone else recommended, you can rent a uhaul or get a Q7 or equivalent if you are looking for an SUV.
