Has anyone else experienced the passenger side vents (dash & floor) blow ice cold when heat is turned on?

The driver side and rear zone blow hot and work as intended. TIA

Weird - I had the opposite happen. Middle passenger side vent blew super hot when A/C was on. Brought my car in to the dealer to get the gateway control module fixed and showed the SA what was going on with the climate control, they made a note of it and even commented on how weird it was. When I got the car back the technician said they couldn’t replicate it, no fault codes were firing at all either. Since getting it back the issue hasn’t persisted at all though - wondering if they did something or if there was a ghost in the car.

I’ll also mention that the settings were in sync as well so I didn’t just have it programmed incorrectly.

What dealer do you use for service? Overall experience with them?

I went to Prestige in Lakewood for this - recently moved closer to them vs. Audi Denver in Littleton. Had a pretty good experience, they fixed the gateway control module, put my summer rims on, and fixed the hard brake pedal overall treated me well. Audi Denver was actually a much different and negative experience. I brought my car in to them and asked them to fix the hard brake pedal. I’d talked to the SA on the phone and given him the heads up, also had emailed over the TSB. Two days went by and when i called to check in they said they hadn’t gotten to it yet and then gave me pushback on the brake pedal TSB saying it was normal. Picked my car up later that day and haven’t been back since.

If you want a smaller indy shop Berg Performance is dope. They installed my CETE module and I’ve been chatting to them about project plans and they’ve given good advice. They also have a phenomenal waiting area where you can do work if you have to wait with the car.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I'm out of warranty and in Florida so it's only 2 months that I'll have an issue with it. I'll just go with "ghost in car" and worry about it next year haha

Annnddddd the issue is back. Going to take it back to the dealer in the near future or see if my local shop can diagnose anything when I bring it in this coming Monday.

Something tells me one of your blower flaps may be stuck or not correctly opening; to allow or disallow heat from the heater core. I see many Q5's doing that, in fact its been somewhat happening to me too, but it seems more dependent on the temperature outside the vehicle as if the car is questioning why do you have the heat on when its 72 degrees outside

I've heard of this issue on the Q5 / SQ's with the system either blowing hot during cold settings or the reverse which unfortunately requires a complete replacement of the heater core under warranty. It is a huge undertaking which also requires removal of the windshield to gain access to some of the dash fasteners. Keep us posted on what is found.
