Can anyone confirm if this will work with a 2020 SQ5?

Yeah someone reviewed it on their website back in September and fit it on their SQ5. Not sure the year but they said it fit

One of the best purchases I have made for my SQ5.

Fit well, Install was easy enough. Seems to do the job, definitely better than the tiny stock thing they put on there.

And for that price? Why not!?

Was just pricing up intercoolers at well over twice this cost. I'm in a 2018 myself, so seeing your post that it fit convinced me. Just pulled the trigger on one.

Yep! Just got mine on yesterday. There is definitely a bias to the passenger side direction as I've heard but it's in there and the black looks great!

Great info, just for further discussion heat exchanger frontal area is another critical metric to consider as after the first 2 inches or so, the thermal efficiency of the heat exchange drops significant as the cooling medium absorbs the heat from the front of the core. I've expanded on your list to include frontal areas, the cost associated per FA, and a 60/40 weighted average FA/Vol of the two metrics.

Just picked up a 2018 SQ5 and this info is super helpful. Thank you for getting it together. The intercooler is the first upgrade on my list.

I can't decide if I should go with Rev9 intercooler, that requires some modifications, plus doesn't use OEM mounting points that are at the bottom (not sure if the top will move/wobble once bolted at the bottom), or just pay extra $300 and go with AWE. AWE uses bottom OEM brackets for support, plus has mounting brackets on top.

Don't care for black paint, as my front grill will stay OEM since I do not have BO package. Not sure how much of an intercooler you will be able to see though.

Any more feedback than what this thread has, much appreciated.

The rev9 doesn’t require any modifications for the b9 sq5. Mine mounted and bolted up perfectly.
Here’s a pic before I tightened up the bolts.

    Nice pictures!

I noticed you didn't stixk with the OEM clamps. Did you have any issues with them coming off on high boost? Just curious

So you didn’t have to trim any plastic at all?

Does Rev9 have back tabs like OEM intercooler?
Also any mounting points on top or just the bottom portion?

Was this picture taken during the install? Or are those two screws at the top loose to accommodate the brackets?

No trimming or modification to the brackets required, mounting points only on the bottom portion.

Pics were taken during the install. All bolts were buttoned up once I got everything lined up.

It’s just a bit off center but that’s what’s great about black IC, once the bumper is back on, it hides well behind the BO grill. You’ll never notice it.

Is there any instability on the rev9 with mounting points only on the front side and only on the bottom?

Because of this (mounting points just on the bottom up front) I have decided to go with AWE.
