    Difference between Plus and Base

    Hello!

    I'm tempted to upgrade my current ride (B9 S4) to my ultimate dream a S8. I searched the forum along with Google and either I suck at searching or the info just isn't out there. Other than the obvious HP and TQ jump, are there any mechanical differences in the Plus package vs a Base? Revised Turbos, tranny tuning, suspension tuning etc? Thanks in advance!
    Now: D4 Audi S8, BBS CHR, RocEuro Intakes, DS1, mr12volt carplay retrofit, muffler delete
    Gone: Mk7.5 Golf R : IE Stage 1 Tune, 18x9 Enkei RPF1, H&R Spacers, 034 Motorsports TIP and Intake Hose, Mountune DSG Paddles, Autokey LED front and rear footwell lights
    Gone: 2019 Audi S4: APR 93 Tune, AWE FMIC, Eventuri Intake, 034 Motorsport springs, BBS CHR Wheels, Muffler Delete, ECS Tranny Mount, RS4 Paddles and some other stuff I forgot about.

    I'm 99% positive there are no mechanical differences between regular and Plus S8, just a software tune. I do know that all S8s were Plus's from 2016 to 2018. Good luck!

    Thank you! Is the b&o worth it or is the stock Bose good enough?

    S8 plus has rs7 turbos with the bullet compressor wheel. Regular s8 are cast.

    An okay! So the non plus has the ‘regular s6/s7’ turbos? Which from my research like to go boom?

    No, non plus s8 are same size as s8 plus/rs7 without the billet wheel. S6/s7 turbos are smaller.

    ah okay! Thanks so much, so leaning toward finding a Plus or a 2016 and above then.

    Actually found this via motor trend: ‘However, choose either the new S8 Plus or the RS 7 Performance, and both cars' twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V-8 powerplants are replaced with the same upgraded, overboosted V-8’

    Exhaust valves are different and also cams, there is an extra oil/water cooler and an additional water cooler.
    Main bearings are bigger and tune is (obviously) different.
    'S8 plus moonlightblue DS1 stage 1
    SQ5 FY ABT "moonlightblue Hybrid turbo 505HP/580 ft-lb(gone)
    RS6 Avant ABT MY '16 Ferrari Blue pozzi (gone but not forgotten)
