    Audi Q7 2009 chassis/wheel vibration around 70 mph

The chassis starts vibrating around 70 mph and I can also feel it in the steering wheel; nothing extreme but I have to fix it. It is worse on newly resurfaced roads (North NJ). New Continental tires; balanced already twice by two different mechanics. Any ideas; should I do a wheel alignment next?*

Definitely get a wheel alignment done. I would have done it when you put the new tires on to make sure they don't wear prematurely.

    I second the alignment.

You may also find that some of the control arm bushings are worn/torn. Replacing those is wayyyy less expensive if you do it yourself, you’ll just need a little shop press (like from Harbor Freight or wherever). I had a shop do two of mine before I had a press, and it was $980 including replacement Audi bushings and an alignment.

Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

Alignment with never make your vehicle vibrate. Most of the time it’s a tire balance or bent wheels. Unless it’s vibrating when brake is applied, then you have bad brake rotors. In last 20 years I have seen in all. All these tires shops have fancy machines, but they don’t know how to use them. We rebalanced many set of wheels straight from the tire shops, Lol

Wheels are out of balance. Those two mechanics don't know how to properly balance a wheel. Trust me on this. Can't tell you how many times, I've run around in circles only to go back to the wheels after everything replaced and have them balanced correctly. Waste of cash, kinds except that I refreshed entire suspensions looking for the vibration.

If the car is vibrating, steering wheel, at a certain speed, you can almost 100 be sure it's your wheel tire pack. Go get it sorted by a professional. Not just any mechanic. Go to a pro shop.
